My favorite weapon is nestled nicely in the nose of an A-10 Warthog. The 30mm six barreled vulcan canon. Nothing like a weapon that shoots in 3000 to 4000 rounds a minute and is depleted uranium 30mm shells.

SubMachine gun- Heckler and Koch__________ (MP5, UMP, P7)
Handgun- Heckler and Koch USP .40 with the extended mag Well, and a threaded barrel. Close second is the FN five and seven
Knife- Anything by TOPS Knives.
Less than lethal- ASP expandable baton, in various lengths.

I was pretty fortunate in my career to be a CATM instrctor for about 8 years. We trained people on shooting, and fixed the weapons in the AF inventory. I would have to say, without a doubt, nothin says lovin' like the MK-19!! Fully automatic grenade launcher?? You have gotta be kidding me!! That's every little boys dream come true!! But, close second was the M-2 50 cal., and the M-249.

EDIT: 2008! Sounds like a fun weapons system, I would love a chance to witness that!!

For me it is the "one eyed ranger". Nah, just joking. While in the military, I fired many weapons and the M16 variants were not number one in my book. However, the M240 and M60 brought a lot of excitement and I enjoyed every minute on the range or other locations firing those weapons. The M24 provided a lot of excitement too, nothing like hitting a target at 800 meters with one shot. But for the old timers, they may like the M202 flash or a M79 but I think some prefer the M2 HBMG. I like the accuracy of the M2 but setting the timing could be frustrating under freezing conditions. Mines and anti tank rockets can give anyone a rush. TOW missiles and 25mm are great too but I guess it comes down to the M240. Hopefully the M249 gets or has been phased out, it was less dependable then an M16. So, with what little hands on experience I have, the M240 is probably my favorite, at least for the moment. Now you may have some folks contributing to the question and talking about ICBM or some other type of munition but we are talking weapons here. Therefore, I believe we should be referring to individual or crew served weapons.

One Big Awfull Mistake America

The rocket propelled grenade launcher with range detection.
OK imagine your taking fire from a window 250 FT away. with this weapon you can aim at the wall next to the window. Click a range lock button and add three feet to the range. Click enter and the range will be set. Next aim for the center of the window and fire. The rocket propelled grenade will travel through the window 3 Ft like you programed and detonate neutralizing your enemy. Those goose bumps, don't worry I get them too!
