Which movies had the worst Military continuity errors?

Even though Josh Duhamels character was ment to be a Ranger in Transformers he had a Special Forces (Green Berets) tab on his sleeve.

The most recent movie which annoyed me was "The Day the Earth Stood Still". I would like to know who in Hollywood first invented the completely fake, over the top, military dialog where soldiers always yell and emphasize every single word when talking to superiors.

"SIR. THE. MISSILES. ARE. ARMED. AND. READY"

And then the commanding officer always speaks normal. Who talks like this? I've been in the Army for 12 years and have never heard anyone talk like this outside of basic training.

Olan, they did that with grandes back then a bit.

I saw a movie where some SF types (and thats all they were, it's a bad movie) went back in time as a trial, but the machine screwed up and they ended up back with the dinos. Anyway, you know it's bad when the shooting noises stop but you see a fella physically moving his weapon around to mimic recoil still, and ALL of their weapons must have had so awesome flash suppresors, lol.

I caught some pretty bad stuff in "Saving Private Ryan". when they were clearing the trench, the 1st Sgt (Tom Sizemore) stands up and says "toss me one, the guy pulls the pin on a grenade, the throws it to him, then he throws it in the trench.

That stupid TV mini-series "Over There" had to be the worst representation of the Army ever!

I think all of the modern day ones except "When We Were Soldiers" (and even that had its blemishes). Most movies always have the big time officer doing NCO duties, while the NCO is nowhere to be found.

One day Hollywood will get it right.

My problem with transformers wasn't so much the vague "Are they Rangers or SF?" thing (which was annoying) since it was clear Omar Epps was an Air Force Combat Controller assigned to what I think was an SF team, it was the 40mm "sabot" rounds they were launching out of their grenade launchers. That was beyond gay.
