Who else thinks Cindy Sheehan is a nut job?

I think her actions have totally disgraced her son. He was a Marine by choice. And though nobody in the military wants to die, they all know what their job is. She should be proud and cherish his memory instead of stomping on the flag that he believed in. Disgraceful, that's all I can say.

P.S. It's not the Presidents fault. He volunteered to be a Marine, just like my hubby has been a soldier for 18 years. It's a job they love and deserve respect for. There is no higher honor than dying for your country. As wives and family members, all we can do is honor that choice and respect them with all we have.

You kind of lost credibility with me when you said you were the daughter of a General. No offense, but my dad was a Col. and was always "in the rear with the gear". I think that I'm sacrificing my life in the military so people have the freedom to protest all they want, what they want, when they want. I may not like what they say, but I'll sure defend their right to say it. I used to hear words like, "ultimate sacrifice" come out my dads mouth too. But once I got my own commission in the Navy, he sat me down and told me that he was wrong to try and teach me that all soldiers and military men die for God Honor and Country. We die for the ideals of our government, be it right or wrong. But mainly, we die so our kids won't have to. So, let the woman say what she wants. If you don't like what she says, don't listen. By even bringing her up you only give her what she wants...more attention.

Being a mom and having a son in the military, I have learned that everyone deals with grief differently. Also, I don't think any enlisted man was given a CHOICE if they wanted to go to Iraq or not, it is called Orders and you are sent. Until you have a child and deal with his death in the service to his country, I feel that you will never understand the pain the Cindy Sheehan is going through. Who is her protesting hurting? Anyone? Her voice needs to be heard, there are a lot of mother's in america that agree with her and are visitng Arlington to lay flowers on their son's graves. We are up to 2,450 and the number is growing everyday. She also started the planting of daffodill blubs of every soldier that dies in Iraq, I bet you haven't heard of that group of Mother's who plant blubs in there yards for every soldier. Every one is aware that their child might not come back from war, but, it is another thing to have to actually deal with the death of your child. God doesn't want us to cast doubt or judgement on anyone. Please don't judge a mother that his trying to deal with the death of her son. She is acting out like any mother will at the death of a child. My Grandmother said it best in the death of my cousin, "It is not natural for a grandparent or parent to lay to rest their child before themselves. But, we can only get through each death of a loved one with love and strength we get from the living, and the memories of our child in our hearts, and our minds, and hope that God will see that we don't lose our mind or die of a broken heart." I now understand those words true meaning, as an adult woman with children of her own. God Bless or men and women in the Military. Thank you.

I have one in the Army and the other is going into the Navy in the Spring of '07; I pray everyday he is okay. No matter where he is stationed. Being a Combat Engineer his job is dangerous with mines and explosives. ESSAYONS!

She is pretty crazy...She should move on with her life...no sense in dwelling on something that is sopainful...she needs to spend the rest of her life honoring the life of her son...and get a job damn it!!

Actually Red13 that is just an urban legend. The Sheehans were married until she started all her protesting. I believe there divorce took place within the last year.

At first, I thought she was doing an honorable thing, but then i learned the truth about Cindy Sheehan. She birthed her son, but she didn't help raise him. She gave her son to her husband and said she couldn't deal with it. His father and step mom raised her son. She tried to come back into the picture when he was around 10 or so. He died and all of his life insurance went to his father. Cindy Sheehan SUED for half of her son's life insurance and is now buying a ranch next to the Presidents with that money. She even met the President when her son first died and accepted his condolances, but didn't say anything antiwar to him at the time. Now she's trying to make it seem like her son, Casey, would be proud of her. How would she know when she didn't raise her own flesh and blood? She doesn't know her own son, or she would have know that he willingly joined the Marine Corps. She needs to step off her high horse, stop trying to benefit from the death of an outstanding young man, and let him rest in peace.

She's crazy, using the money from her dead son's (rip) insurance by buying land near Bush's ranch so she has an easier time protesting. IF she wanted to honor her dead son's memory, she should have donated the money to the VA where it would be put to good use in helping the vet's who came back injured or maimed.

She cares nothing about her son. All she is doing is exploiting his death so she can get publicity.

Her immediate family certainly does. I'm just sick of people protesting the soldiers (and yes, if you protest my chosen profession, you protest me). Like it or not, every soldier volunteered for any and all wars that hapen to come about.

Every time her name shows up on the news or Cindy Sheehan is printed in a newspaper she takes that much away from her son. He died honorably for the military he cared for, the military that freed this country and has saved the world in two World Wars. She brings disgrace upon his noble sacrifice and should let her son rest in peace.......but we all know that this is not about him at all, it is about her and the book deals and the public appearances. She wants to build her name up on the back of her dead son so she can run for office someday.

She is all for the military but doesn't think they should go and actually fight, we should all be paving roads and working at soup shelters. Basically she is a 21 century hippie, what do you think about hippies?

I hope she gets a terminal illness that lingers on for the next 50 years and her body rots and decays from the inside out and then when she finally dies and goes to hell i hope the worms and maggots eat at her flesh while she burns in the lake of fire for eternity , Have a Nice Day
