Who gets deployed more ?

Parachute Regiment or The Royal Marines ? Thanks.

I'd say that royal marines would get deployed more as there are a lot more of them than the parachute regiment but both are elite within themselves, however I'm joining the paras when I'm older

Well they are all needed in afghanistan.

To my knowledge though, everyone is 'out of area' for 6 months with a 2 week RNR (break) in the middle.

Once a soldier has done his 6 months out of area, they cannot go back again for another 18 months.

im guessing your takling about the brits? i was talking to a guy from their airborne, his deployments sounded pretty frequent. short compared to the US armys deployments though.
