I'm a Brit ex military / served in many parts of the commonwealth and also served with the US special forces in Vietnam and elswhere! I don't consider myself a hero. Just a guy who served in the military because being a soldier appealed to me. Its only when the shooting started I realised I could get my butt shot off or even a lot worse! Eventually it happened and I had to muster out!
I'm not prepared to let Islam overtake or rule any country. I've seen what they've done to men, women and children! They have no honour, they have nothing! I've killed them - If I got attacked or caught up in it again I'd do the same! Then the nutter law in the UK and its legal whizz kids would come after me to put me away for life, while giving Islams lunatics in the UK carte blanche to do everything! I do wish a fight in the UK would start, the first guys I'd knock off would be the politicians of 30/40 years back who let filthy Arab Islamic Scum into my country and today support their every move! |

Amen -- finally .. someone with the "cahunas" to say something. My husband is missing the first year of th elife of his daughter because he is fighting for our freedom. I am alone, every night, because my husband is fighting for our freedom. I wake up everymorning praying to God that i am not a widow -- and that I won't have to bury him -- becaues HE fights for our freedom. Thank you for the question -- i hope more people read it -- and respond with responsible, mature, answers. |

Mam I so agree with you!!!! I am quite sure that none of these men & women want to be where they are but they are there fighting for all of us. I admire them and wish them all well and God speed home. |

The soldiers are great men, the war is questionable, but the men fighting in it are just as honourable as any other war. These men go into battle with a lack of equipment while fighting a war that may never be able to be won. May God, the gods, fate, karma/whatever bless/protect/honour these men and women. |

Yes, they are heroes, because they have enlisted voluntarily to do a job that is not only difficult, but also dangerous. |

My son is currently stationed in Afghanistan. Three weeks ago my good friend told me his son was killed while serving in Afghanistan and I attended his funeral. I watched as my friend was handed a medal and flag for his son's life. His son was 27. I watched as grown, combat hardened soldiers cried for there fallen comrad telling the story of his valiant efforts to draw the enemy fire away from his men only to have his own weapon jam-up. Thats when the RPG hit him.
My wife was crying and shaking as this took place and praying for our son to come home safely.
I recently called my son and asked him if he knew about my friends son. He said "yes dad". "I was the one who was on body detail that day and took a Humvee out to the battle area and scooped up what was left of David and put him in a bodybag." My son told me more in that sentence than he has ever said about his service in this war.
Some say that this war is for oil. Others want to know why none of our leaders son's or daughters are over there fighting the war.
Still others rant and rave like they know all about it, but thier kids are at home tucked away in bed.
Whatever the reasons WAR IS WAR & KILLING IS KILLING.
I agree:God Bless all those that fight for us! |
