I'm 100% in favor of getting out as soon as possible but we can't just pull out. The Middle East is too important to major economies around the world. If Bush's mess spreads beyond Iraq (which it very well might whether we stay or leave), we could face a major global recession or depression. |

I certainly think that they should be brought out but it's not going happen, because Tony Blair hasn't got the guts to stand up to George Bush and he's the one that can't keep his nose out of other coutries affairs 'cos he likes to play "GOD" !!! |

yup! staying there is just prolonging the bloodshed. an exit strategy would cause chaos in the short term, but their lives are theirs and we should all withdraw and let them live it.
i also believe the UK, China, NZ ,Oz etc should have left it to the US and never entered into it, it was their so called "war on terror" which we all know was really "US war on greed" |

How about we all go to the Iranian and Syrian borders and not let any more insurgents or weapons in, let the Iraqi forces get there government in order and peaceful, then they can take over on the border and then we can leave. |

Sure, then in a few years they will be here on our doorstep telling YOU, Convert to Islam or die.
I can hear you whining now, "Why didn't Bush do more to stop these people".
Go ahead, vote for a Liberal, they want to surrender NOW. |

We no longer have that choice. We will soon be forced out. |

It's tempting to say so - but whatever you thought about going in, in the first place, this has to be carefully managed - as quickly as is possible would be the best achievable and before the troops become part of the problem.
Trouble is we can't allow a bloodbath - we started this and we have to finish it to the best of our ability. |

You created this situation in Iraq. The country was stable and safe, what Saddam did in Iraq is nothing comparing to what US and UK did to the people there. US is responsible for the lives of more than 655000 who died since the war started in Iraq, US and co. have stolen milliards of dollars worth of Oil, all Iraq past (museums) and future (stability) is gone because of some thugs in the US government!
You may leave and run away and leave another unstable country who will never see peace like what you did in Somalia.
for those who put their thumb down(!) you must be the same guys who were supportive to the UK and US troops to go in few years ago and now want to run away after the big failure!! just to clarify to you how immature and indecisive you are! |

I think leaving is a good idea - Canada should pull out of Afganistan etc.
We should deal with whoever the winner is in about 200 yrs or so. . Our society was just as bad 2-400 yrs ago and no one interfered with us.
Sooner or later they will by themselves get to the point where religion won't be the be all and end all and women will vote and so forth . We shouldn't be talking to them until thier society catches up to ours . |
