I think you need to get a bit more creative with your questions. This morning it was Iraq. Now Afghanistan. And you still fail to provide a link. Putting "information from..." as a way to cite your source is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

The average Afghan citizen probably respects the Coalition, but it's the radicals that are fighting us. Not everyone in Afghanistan is against us, many are for us.

Because like it or not it is still a hostile enemy territory. Just bc some of the afgan people like the U.S. and the troops doesn't mean that there aren't terrorist cells and training camps over there that are going to try and kill us. I mean come on what do you think we are over there for in the first place? Vacation?

If you put Western troops, especially those seen as being christian in one of the most muslim fundamentalist nation in the world, they're going to get attacked.
Compared to any other war in the history, the casualties are minuscule, but because of the way deaths are portrayed on the media, it sounds like they're getting massacred over there.
Trust me i've been to Iraq twice as an Infantry Marine, and its not even close to as bad now as it used to be, let alone how people think it is.

Because Rumsfeld tried to win the war on the cheap so they could shift to Iraq as quickly as possible. Afghanistan has been in a holding pattern since the Taliban was kicked out of Kabul and Hamid Karzai was installed, without much further development or assistance to stabilize the country. So the Taliban just regrouped in the hills, it's not like they were dependent on the comforts of even a 9th rate 3rd world city like Kabul anyway.

Most people in Afghanistan like the US. But there is a large group of Taliban that are trying to take over the country. The land is largely rugged and mountainous, the country fairly poor, and many people live in remote areas. It is a very difficult job we face.

Some of them might, but clearly not all of them do. If that were the case, we wouldn't have gone there to start with.

first of all, the individual asking the questions here is a vintage douche . i have seen several other questions that are antagonistic in nature with regards to our troops and those who support them. this person hates our military and probably get the news from keith olberman and jon stewart.
just your regular troll who is suffering from an exceptionaly bad case of anal warts recieved from inspired ***-plowing from his dad during a regular date. so in a way, this person almost has my sympathies. almost.
