What are you talking about? People DO talk about how awful the Soviet Union was, as well as China.

China has the "Communist" label, so people today always talk poorly about it. You can add Cuba and North Korea to your list of nations that people talk poorly about. North Korea is probably the worst in modern times.

because the Germans where the root cause of WWII, which killed even more people. The Chinese and Russians did their killing behind closed doors and they didn't muddy it up with wars

I don't think that Stalin killed just as many? Or Mao??? And I think it was not in the absolute horrific, inhuman way that Hitler killed. I mean, all killing is wrong but the way in which Hitler had mass amounts of people exterminated is so disturbing and wrong that it attracts more attention. To be honest, I had a section in school in World Studies devoted to the Holocaust, but it glazed over Stalin and didn't mention Mao.

Mostly because of the word holocaust is associated with the Germans. It seems to be what everyone knows. As far as the more educated know that the USSR communist movement was much worse. I don't really know why that happened, I think here in America, because we fought Hitler in WWII and he was an enemy to the US more than anybody else, so it is more known here. That's all I can think of, although I must say it was pretty good for me, was it good for you too?

Because the Russian's were on our side, so even though they killed approximately 25 million, we don't want to ADMIT we sided with a bad guy.

hm? i served 2 years, 2 months and 2 days in Germany. Got the heck beat out of me but it was USA troops. u got pretty Frauleins. like Germany. watch out for USA troops.
