Call the White House and ask. |

because there is a war going on. it's their job, the most important job in the US. you should quit complaining, it does nothing for the morale of Soldiers who are fighting. |

Because they are fighting a war. See in war people die. And when you have a country like ours that refuse to let the wolves lose of the little crappy middle east country and clean it out, we get held up for years trying to pick them off one by one instead of dropping a bomb and going home for dinner. |

Trying to finish what we started. How will history judge us to suddenly abandon Iraq to its fate of endless civil war and genocide? |

Because some of us still feel that it's worth risking our lives to free 25 million people from evildoers. And some of us have been there and understand WHO we are fighting...not Iraqis...terrorists. Isn't it at all interesting that the only Americans who agree with you are those who
1. have not been in Iraq
2. have not lost anyone to terrorist actions on or before 9/11
and 3. are uninformed (dare I say ignorant) on the mission, accomplishments or even who the enemy is? |

Mostly it's caused by road side bombs, RPG's and an occasional bullet or two. I thought everyone knew. Go figure. |

They are there so people like you who seem to know very little about world politics and have no back bone don't have to be. Yes young men and women are dieing. But there is an old saying, "freedom is not free". If you are so short sighted that you cant see the facts you need to educate yourself. If we don't stop the terrorists in their own back yard we WILL have to fight them in ours. |

Why? It starts with Bush who flew trainer planes for fun, then got out of the military early. This foolish President started this unnecessary war with no concern for our military personnel. The war is a mess. This president cannot "own up" to his own mistakes! So, he prefers to keep on shoving this war on us and sending our troops to die to try to save face. |

Impeach Bush, NOW !!!

So they wouldn't die as unknowns from drunk drivers, accidents and criminals at home. |

Because it is a war and people die in wars. Please name one war where people didn't die. And bty, this war is going pretty good considering that at the rate men were dying in panama and grenada, if they lasted as long as Iraq al ot more me would be dying. I know you can't really comapare one war to another but think about this: In Korea which was three years long 53,000 men died. How long have we been in Iraq? How many men have died there? |

i dont think you even want a answer out of this for your knowledge. Your just complaining. |

Simple. Bush has started a quagmire of a total mess and needs to stay to
a/ Not lose face.
b/ At least try and clean it up.
I agree with you though that it is wrong. He is wasting good soldier's lives for his Fundamentalist Christian ideal. I am a Christian (in the West) and he is shaming me and my religion. Here is the truth: The invasion of Iraq was a personal thing between the Bush's and Saddam. It has NOTHING to do with 9/11. The American C.I.A. even proved this. Afghanistan I will give you. The Taliban are evil and need to be stopped. But Iraq. What a total unnecessary waste of lives. |

Because even though the American public gave the Congress to the Demcoratic party, we still have a Republican President and enough Republicans in Congress who can either fillibuster legislation or prevent an override of a veto that allow Bush's failed stay the course policy in Iraq to continue ad nauseum.
Even legislation like HR 1591, which fully funded the troops, paid to train and equip the Iraqi people, and gave a reasonable and responsible timeline that would give the Iraqi people the sense of urgency they would need to take over their own self defense was vetoed by are dimwit of a President. Republicans like to say that by setting up timelines that we are admitting defeat. In reallity, when we leave the iraqi people with the training and equipment they need to defend themselves, it will be an affirmation of our victory. |

Yes it is wrong for our troops to die in Iraq and we all know the Iraq war is wrong. However, the war supporters believe in the war and the Bush supporters believe in the war so we might as well get used to the Iraq war "AND" the deaths of our fine Marines and other fine soldiers. Nothing we can do about the war. (Until Nov 2008) When Hillary becomes President then we will bring the troops home and we can rejoice. |

Because Bush ordered them to stay.
And because Congress is too ineffectual and wishy-washy to do anything about it. |
