i fight so my children have a safe place to grow up. i fight so i can go home, drink a beer and watch the game. i fight so i can say what i feel without fear of death. i fight so others have the right to live. and i fight so people can chose what god that want to pray to for peace. that is why i fight.

Ideally soldiers fight to protect those who cannot defend themselves. They fight to preserve certain freedoms and liberties. They fight to preserver a world balance. They fight to protect fellow soldiers. They fight because they believe in a cause. They fight because they were poor and had no better choice. But most of all....

They fight for us because they have enlisted. It's their job to do what the govenment says.
You know Iraq war might be wrong but those men and women are putting their lives on the line period.
What would happen if they refuse to go? You think that would make America look weak? Have the ememy more ready to pounce on us. So yes they are fighting for us and are liberities.

They were ordered by their generals or w/e to go to iraq and fight. I dont see the point of war though.

Not just soldiers are fighting for us, Marines, Sailors, and Airmen are too. The reason why we do it is beacause we have a sense of duty to our country and to protect the liberties that people take for granted.

Because they are uneducated and probably do not have above a high school diploma, Thus, they want a quick way to make some cash that doesn't require any thinking, just bloodshed. They are ignorant of the fact that their actions are setting the world in flames, and that the world should operate through negotiation and dialogue before taking up arms.
