Why are we more at risk from UK's Nuclear power plants? Than Iran, Taliban and Al Qaeda put together?

Yes, I saw the report on lunchtime TV today and it is very worrying and basically amounts to a 'cover up' that they couldn't hide any longer. I am usually very defensive of of our armed forces and nuclear deterrents and I'm pro nuclear power, but this is very bad and I really hope it's sorted out, and quickly.

According to this report.....
"The problem became so bad that the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (Sepa) warned it would consider closing the base, which is on Gare Loch, north-west of Glasgow, if it had the power to do so".

I think all that can happen now is that urgent investigations by 'independent' agencies need to be carried out and strict measures need to be put in place to deal with this so it doesn't happen ever again. If that have been a civilian power plant, much tighter regulations would have been applied and prosecutions would have been made.

I think you'll find our Nuclear power industry is old, cause most were built in the 70's and within the next 10 years all our plants will have to be closed, except for Sizewell B.
We have commissioned the French to build our next generation of Plants, which will be more efficient more solid, and hopefully have less accidents, but we are only human.
A lot of accidents occur on the midnight express, as train that enters Britain from France with ALL their Nuclear waste on board and races through the night to a secret location, where it is buried....
As for the leaks, they aren't covered up, they are often reported in the media and are normally low key incidents

there is no way our government could cover that up .
these are the people that lose cases full of info/bank details on trains on a regular basis

More info on the leaks, but.... We are not. July 7 how many? The world is not a nice place despite aspirations to fluffy bunny world there will always be someone who will want to be king of the hill. We need the big stick.
