Why are we not destroying the pirates?

We have the power, the snipers, the satellites, and the special forces. So why are not ripping the pirates a new one and hitting the lawless land they came from in full force? I'm so ashamed of my country for being overly sensitive and too careful all the time with every enemy. That's why Russia and China will always dominate the world as military powers. They take everything serious and send in tons of troops to solve any problem. We need to get real and stop letting ants control our actions. These are sad times when people with wooden boats and 30 year old weapons can hold us at bay. Especially because we spend billions upon trillions on war/weapons and they spend thousands.

because that's an excellent way to assure the death of the US captain they have as a hostage. Sure as hell, if he used force and the captain was harmed in any way you'd be on his *** about that instead. Let's be up front here, there's nothing he can do that won't garner discord from the republicans in this matter.

BTW, ever heard of the US Constitution? Something every member of the US Armed Forces are sworn to protect and defend. I was one of them.

Also, the pirates HAVE attacked Russian and Chinese ships, and neither country went into Somalia with guns blazing. Do a little homework before saying something dumb.

If you like a militaristic country, then to this eight year military vet, you're a filthy traitor to the United States, and ought to be shipped off to North Korea.

Tell the captain to jump overboard and the Seals cab have a tank waiting for him and just hold him under so the pirates can't get him.

As soon as he's over the side, machine gun the F-ing life raft and be done with this crap.

As Obama "monitors" the situation..... the rest of us are trying to figure out WHAT there is to "negotiate" with 6 "skinnies" who have already (literally) ran out of gas on their tiny life raft.

Simple...got enough going on right now without starting other chaos.
They will wait for them to run out of food and water since the lifeboat isn't functioning and it should make for a fairly quick and painless release of the Capt.

We have the wrong man at the head of the ship, if you know what I mean, I Sarah and John were the Captain and Co-Captain, it would already have ended. But with obama, who could not care less what happens to America, what else can we except
