Why don't you quit being a quitter, and let the war get done when it gets done? It's not instant oatmeal, man. Wars take years to fight. My gosh, this generation wants instant gratification, for crying out loud!

The soldiers need to finish their mission. And we don't need people like you demoralizing them with your defeatist attitude!

Lost? We defeated the Iraqi dictator in what could hardly be called a war.

The "War" is over.

The "Insurgency" isn't lost yet, but there are those cowards and opportunists who want us to leave Iraq before the job is finished - they are called "Liberals." They want us to lie down and die in our own streets rather than send "one more US Soldier to die over there."

If you don't think the war will follow us home, you're sadly mistaken.

You spineless Democrats are some sick slugs. How anyone in the capacity of Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid (my Senator) could actually desire America to lose a war is beyond the pale. The Democrats are so craven for power that they will hang our soldiers out to dry if it will embarrass President Bush. You Democrats are cruising for a massive defeat in the future because America loves and respects its military and does not want to see it lose a war. Ye shall reap what ye have sown...

Because we didn't. The war was won in about 5 weeks, when the government was taken over. We are no longer at war with Iraq, we are occupying the country and training the military and police to handle the civil war on their own. We were successful in everything we went out to do.

It really doesn't qualify as a war unless you are willing to base it on casualties alone. Hell more people are killed in trafific accidents in California or by shootings in DC. I think that fact alone throw this hole argument out of whack.

I mean what real American would not be more concerned with real events in America than some obscure conflict in Iraq that will be decided by weak kneed politicians and American Corporations. Abortions in America do more damage than Iraq could do in 100 years.

You are obviously just a pawn in the process, convinced of your own self righteousness and willing to sell your vote and political opinion based on ignorance and self pity.

Its ignorant self defeating people like you that scare the crap out of me and threaten the future of Amrerica.

We have not lost this war yet. We also have not made a true effort to solve the problem of this insurgency. If we were to have another 50,000 troops over there, the insurgency would be crushed.
During the Vietnam conflict we crushed the VC or Viet Cong after tet but everybody started to buy into this idea of failure. In fact we stopped the tet offensive and destroyed one of the NVA's key powers. Also we let politicians fight the war and not generals/soldiers. The military would have done things much diffrent and took the war to the north instaed of letting the VC take the war to them.
The same could be done now let the generals fight and the politicans pay for the war and we would see better results. The media over exaggerates Iraq and i would be willing to bet their are places in Iraq that are not as bad as we are told. The country is being improved and when its ready they will deal with everything by themselfs and the military will pullout. Also on the causalty figures 3 thousand KIA is .0075 the causalties we suffered in WW2 (400,000). now what would have happened if America would have exited WW2 after 3000 causalties we would never have fought past North africa and how diffrent would the world be because of this. So for all nay sayers let the military do what it does best fight wars and win.

How can they lose a war when they keep giving new reasons as to why we are there and what will constitute victory?

Have you ever seen a singer keep singing the different verses of a song over and over again while he or she desperately tries to remember the final verse?

Our involvement in Iraq seems to be repeated middle verses without any idea of what the last verse should be.
