Why did CNN just run a story about some shop keeper in Iraq where he said he 'Loved Americans'?

What is so unbelieveable about an Iraqi saying he loves Americans? I don't see the problem. Are you mad that they showed this on CNN? My brother is over in Iraq right now, he sees stuff like this everyday. Some people in Iraq do love America.

They also just ran a story of a Kurdish girl being stoned to death for dating a Sunni while 3 policemen stood by a watched in broad daylight. Someone got it on their cell phone. How does that make you feel about the cradle of civilization? It happens dozens of times a year.

That's the problem with us liberals. We have such low self-esteem that we don't recognize humor when we see it. Nic Roberstson's not an idiot, and this didn't have Karl Rove written all over it. It's a gag. Dark humor? You bet. Very funny? You bet.

First off, those guys carry guns with them everywhere. They don't let them out of their site. Their command will make their lives a living hell if they do.

Second, we're not losing this war. Just ask the military. The guys who are actually over there fighting. They media shows us the worst of it. More Americans die in Washington DC every month than in Iraq. But we're not calling for America to pull out of DC, now are we?

And third, yeah most of the Iraqi people are happy we're there. The country is better off now than it is in years. We're training their security, and military. Our troops are stationed on their military bases, where they have computer centers and phone centers set up for us, and their chow halls are better than the ones in America. We've built roads and schools for them, among other things. So do some research before you post stupid questions on here.

I agree too, and they only show this on the tv to seem like the americans and british in iraq is somehow benefitting the iraqis, but hes probably 1 out of 200 that think that way even if he is telling the truth, the tv and media should actually go into normal houses, shops etc and ask the iraqis themselves what they really think.

For every 1 Iraqi that "loves" us, there are 10 that hate our guts.

Which is why we keep seeing stories of our soldiers being attacked and killed, and nearby Iraqi army units stand around and watch it without getting involved.

Ya, I saw that little bit of propaganda as well. And CNN is supposedly the Liberal station? That news story had Produced by Karl Rove all over it. The corporate media is so far behind the curve that most Americans' do not support this occupation.
