Sadman Insane played a game of chicken about Weapons of Mass Destruction and the US called his bluff. He lost. He was executed by Iraqis for crimes against Iraq.
He had big bucks and was a supporter of terrorists ..Yeah, he was.
[He sent $22,000 checks to the families of murder bombers.]
He poison-gassed an entire village of Kurds because someone took a shot at him. Real nice guy ...just minding his own business...sure.
His sons were even worse than he was. You could lose your life by a bad athletic performance. Your young daughters could be their 'gifts'.
Midnight abductions, mass murders, and assassinations were common. [I know ...sounds a lot like Chicago]
Everybody but his cronies wanted him out of there, so now he's gone.
Unfortunately, the people of Iraq were so 'brainwashed' by Sadman, it's taken a while to get them back to 'normal' thinking...
Some 'terrorist' are making a living by keeping US troops there.

We don't get a lot of oil from Iraq. We get twice as much from Mexico and 3 times as much from Canada ...we even get more oil from Nigeria than Iraq...
Also, it's very good that some organizations are willing to send their 'terrorists' to Iraq to be killed by trained US soldiers than have them boarding planes to crash into office building.....many of the deaths caused in Iraq by US action have been 'imported' terrorists.
Iraqis are killing most of the Iraqis (over power), since that is what they learned from Sadman. [The US doesn't use 'car bombs or IEDs]. Iraqis were killing Iraqis even before the US won control of Iraq [by car bombs in town squares and calling them 'errant US missles']
Bush cares a lot about Afganistan. What do you want him to do? Come to your house and explain everything he has done to you?
And can we be in Afganistan [or Iraq] without congressional approval?
So don't try to pin it all on Bush ... |

ive answered this question many times and i will answer it again because i dont like liberals spreading lies in order to fulfill their socialist agenda. sadam ignored 11 UN sanctions NOT usa sanction after he committed genocide against the kurds with chemical bombs killing 100,000 people. intelligence agencies in europe and the US suspected and provided evidence that he was building and still had the chemical bombs and WMD's. he kicked out all UN inspectors. he was also harboring terrorists and we thought that he could give them to them or use it on a neighboring country because of their invasion of kuwait. |

well the way I see it is...

it was about terrorist ties... that didn't exist
it was all in the hysteric times of the aftermath of 9/11. everyone saw a terrorist under every bush and were willing to take chances on poor intel we would not normally have followed. there are reasons that we don't normally follow certain classes of intel without cross information... and this is the reason. |

It was because little georgie bush wanted to do what his DADDY did not do and that was to go all the way to Baghdad. Daddies advisers told DADDY what would happen if he went into Baghdad. DADDY listened, little georgie did NOT. Everything they told DADDY did in fact come to pass. DADDY smart. little georgie DUMB. Over 4,500 dead Americans and a countless number of dead innocent civilians, who knows how many American troops will be disabled for life because junior wanted to show how macho he was. A chicken of the first degree during Vietnam, he hid in the Texass Air National Guard, and went AWOL when drug testing became part of the flight physical, now sending Americans off to die for his "legacy" when he was afraid to serve during Nam. |

Saddam Hussein and the whole Kuwait thing...it all started during Bush Sr.'s rein of terror...young bush just went back in a sad attempt to finish his dads mess and take over the world....
9/11 was about Al Queda, Afghanistan, and Osama Bin Laden. Still middle eastern, but different group all together. Bush was stuck on Iraq and Hussein because his daddy was.....check your history everyone. |

It was about oil. But it was about a lot more than that. It allowed Bush to ignore the Constitution. He could shovel taxpayers' money to his friends. He could authorize torture and secret prisons, and suspend habeas corpus indefinitely. He could intimidate Congress to go along with him and the media too, because anyone who disagreed could be painted as unamerican and subversive.
If you look at Bush's popularity ratings over the 8 years he was president, they were constantly trending downwards the whole time, except for right after 9/11 and right after we invaded Iraq.
