Use of the Navy and Air Force for instance.
And use of submarines for... surveillance, monitoring ...?
Is part of what they do, a waste of government/tax payers money and government resources?

What do you expect them to do?
They can't disband them during peace time without losing their protection.
The military can't sit idle for years waiting to do something either.
The idea is to have an experienced force ready to deal with any situation that may be around the corner. |

Ours do a lot of disaster relief, home and abroad. How is training a waste of resources? Can't have them turning up not knowing how to operate. |
