But in a war such as Iraq there is no front lines so woman get in the mix often..During the battles in Iraq woman were not involved as they are not allowed.. |

Females are not allowed to have frontline mos' (jobs) in the military. Usually we are not in the "grunt" jobs which are who you mainly will see in the movies and documentaries, esp older films. |

In Iraq and Afghanistan there are no front lines and women can and are gunners and I have seen a lot of them return fire. Some who I have served with we better than some of the guys. This was in an MP Platoon, in which women are allowed.
Women are not allowed in combat arms, IE Infantry, Armor, ect. This is somewhat do to hygiene issues and not being able to take a shower for long periods of time. |

I am an MP, a combat support MOS, but in current conflicts, there are no front lines, and I have had several females in my units, and we have had enemy contact. There is one female in my last unit, that i would put up against any man on the .50cal, I was glad to have her. Was she a diamond in the rough? Who knows, but i say if they can hang, let them bang. |

because they are far to pretty(lol),on a more serious note women are not allowed to serve in the front line for many different and varied reasons of which I'm sure you will find them being listed here,female soldiers do many other jobs in the military that free up male soldiers and to be honest are in the main more capable,nurses/drivers/pilots/offices/in...

its the militarys policy. they dont want women on the frontlines. but there are always some "mistakes" like with medics and they end up being on the front anyway. |

because the female body has more need in personal hygiene and also has to do with fertility they cut be rape or abuse more easily that cut be a way of the enemy to tortured...and also it has to do with politics...... |

I was in the infantry,do you honestly think a women can carry a 200 pound rucksack,along with her rifle and walk for 20 miles? or stay in a place for 3 months with just food and water? no shower? Most men can't hack it.
Women are not allowed in combat jobs, only combat support.

Many Vietcong snipers were women... they were more patient so did better, but you wouldn't have seen them lol coz they were hiding, Israel also lets women fight |

PaddyRanger got it right. Women have too many damn problems. Hell just say the word deployment and see how many of the female soldiers get knocked up. Besides that most men feel the need to protect women when they are in danger. These guys need to be worrying about the mission and staying alive. Not protecting some female. There are plenty of noncombat jobs in the military for females to fullfill. |

It's our policy in the U.S.A. not to put females on the front lines. I think it's called Love. We don't want you darlin's to get hurt. Other countries, like N. Korea however, sent thousands of female soldiers into combat against our troops in the Korean conflict. Many American soldiers still have nightmares about all the Korean women they had to shoot. |
