I believe one of the most dangerous jobs in the service is SEAL, and the last time I took a gander at a SEAL team, they were mostly WHITE. And there was a BLACK admiral a few years back, tell him he's a slave to the WHITE man.

By the way... a VAST minority of my son's graduating company from boot camp 2.5 years ago was black. Of the 500 who graduated that week, the majority were white, then hispanics, then asians/islanders, then blacks with the fewest. Every one of those Marines was treated and continues to be treated with fairness and respect by their fellow Marines and their Chain of Command.

So you've never heard of the Tuskegee Airmen; the first all black fighter squadron of WW2 or thew 758th Tank Batallion, the first all black tank batallion of WW2.

You have never heard of men like Benjamin O. Davis Sr.; first African American general of the US Army and his grandson, Benjamin O. Davis Jr.; first African American general of the USAF, who also was the commander of the Tuskegee Airmen?

What about Daniel "Chappie" James, Jr. first African American to become a 4 star general in the USAF?

And Major General Matthew A. Zimmerman, the first African-American Chief of the United States Army Chaplain Corps?

Vice Admiral Melvin G Williams, the Deputy Commander of United States Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Virginia?

What about Lillian E. Fishburne, first female African American Rear Admiral of the US Navy?

Michelle Howard; first female African American commander of a US Navy Ship?

What about Lt. Cmdr. Wesley A. Brown, first African American Graduate of the US Naval Academy?

General William E. "Kip" Ward; the current Deputy Commander, U.S. European Command.

And let's not forget General (Retired) Colin Powell; former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and former Secretary Of State of the United States, the highest position ever held by an African American? And what about his replacement; Condolezza Rice; the first African American Female to be Secretary of State of the United States.

Your level of ignorance pales the mind; there are hundreds of African American soldiers that work all types of highly important jobs, from fighter pilots to Astronauts to being colonels and Generals in all five branches of the military.

You need to start reading a little bit more than just lynching cases in WWI to see the great accomplishment of African American soldiers in the US military.

I love this....You, obviously a member of the 'party of tolerance', are one of the most ignorant and racist morons I've ever heard. Blacks are accomplishing more than ever in all areas of life, work, war, etc. The fact that you choose to ignore this because it flies in the face of your agenda is the real problem here. You're clearly not interested in accomplished blacks, because the most accomplished among blacks did so without the help of the 'Great Society' and instead worked hard, stayed focused and didn't whine or put their hand out whenever an obstacle arose in front of them. If more people of all races did this we would truly be a greater nation. Truth be told the likes of many so called 'leaders' in black America today (Jackson, Sharpton, etc) are more interested in keeping blacks subdued and in the underclass because it is from these people that they derive their power. The NAACP and the Congressional Black Caucus don't even allow conservative blacks into their so called ' big tent' organizations, so ask yourself who is really keeping the black man down?!

For many wars and Peace times, the Black Soldier has done many things to serve bravely in our Military. Each branch of service, contains Sargent's, Drill Sargent's, Artillery, Commander's, Tank Battalion's and many other leading jobs in our Military. The Generals you speak about are career men. They stay in the Military for career. You are totally 100% Wrong, when you degrade the Black Soldier. They fight right along side of the other cultures. Many lost their lives right along side of the Whites. Many Black Military Men/Women, do hold high rank, so you need to go back and do your homework. Many Whites, follow the lead of the Black Generals. God Bless America for all the Loyal, Black, White, Red and Yellow Soldiers who fight for the Freedom of the United States of America.

well speaking for myself when i was in a infantry unit, my company had more whites than blacks, or any other race.bravo company had lots of blacks just how the assignments were nothing discriminating involved because charlie and head quarters evened it all out. and we all did the same jobs and just in case your not sure infantry is not a walk in the park in a war zone. i was a rto for a 11/2 years and that is a high risk job even in the infantry, the only job with a lower life expectancy was a officer. i didn't care who did what we all were going to be in danger in combat my black friends too. the thought never occurred to me to think that i am i more danger than some one else perhaps i should tell them to let the black guys do it. we all endured the same dangers,hardships, good times , and even the bad together because we looked at each other as equals not what color is he.

GO DO the real statistics, the number of Whites, Blacks, Hispanics and Asians in the military. Blacks DO NOT have a large number in the military, and it is not because they hate their country, it is because believe me some of us Blacks don't take no discipline and when taken to a war we will shoot every child, elder, women and men armed or not. And if you look at current wars now, in every video combat from the war zone shows either a sergeant who is commanding a group ordering for a destruction of their target or a group and always the Black soldier is kicking azz, while others stand back and watch what happens next.
