Why do i get so mad when people talk badly about the military?

Who is talking badly about the military? I have not heard this, maybe you are a puppet of the administration. you think people are not supporting the troops because they protest the war. You get angry at this because the media tells you to, you can't understand that they do support the troops by caring about them enough to waste all their time trying to get them home. Even if their wrong.

I think Mamabear is a racist. She wanted Saddam to be allowed to keep killing innocent Shi'ites and Kurds with no opposition. Mamabear, do you really hate Shi'ites and Kurds so much that you support Saddam's killing of them, and say that the civilized nations of the world should have just stood aside and watched?
Maybe you should go to Rwanda and dance on the millions of graves from the genocide there, if you feel so strongly that the strong shouldnt protect the weak.
You support your military because they are dying to protect your freedom, and the weak from the oppressors in the world. Good for you, I feel the same way, support our troops.

I feel the same way. One because my husband has to go to Iraq not because he wants to but because that is his job. I don't think that a lot of people really realize what goes on. Could you imagine being over there and seeing the things that they do. No I don't agree with the war, but I support our troops and sometimes it is necessary. They are following orders and this helps us keep the freedoms that we have. I hear people say that we are losing our freedoms, at Lest we have some. I would not like being told that I have to wear a certain thing or act a certain way, or to be told that I am as worth less a dirt because I am a women. I am proud to be an American, and everything that comes with it. I would be in the military myself if I could, however a past knee injury made that impossible for me. Some people don't think that they are sleeping warm and cozy in there beds at night because of our military. We have the rights that we have because brave men, and women, have fought for them.

I get angry, too. I'm not in the military, but my oldest brother served in WWII. I was three when he came home, but I remember it. He was in North Africa, Italy and D-Day. He never would talk about the war itself, just funny things that happened. I feel when people disparage the military, they are disparaging and dishonoring all the brothers, sons, fathers, daughters, wives, sisters, friends who served and did their duty the best they could, and sometimes exceeded that best. Where would we be without all the millions like my brother? Whether we think the war in Iraq is a good thing or bad thing is beside the point. The men and women serving over there are doing their duty as decided by their superior officers. If they failed in their duty, then we should be ashamed of them.

Just for the record, I think the war should never have happened, but since it did, I wish nothing but good for all the military people who are serving over there, and I'm sorry you've been put in danger for an invalid reason. My son in law was there for over a year, and his 19 or 20 year old nephew was too.

Getting mad at people in the military is just as dumb as getting mad about, say, postal employees: THEY'RE JUST DOING THEIR JOB. I would invite anyone with a bone to pick with our troops to go to the nearest recruitment office and pick up a weapon, see if you can do better.

I think anyone with a conscience shares your feelings: these people are putting THEIR lives on the line so that the rest of us don't have to, and for lousy pay at that.

I'm with you, you should be be, I hate it when people do that. They talk negatively and the whole reason they can do that is because of the military! Who do these people think they are anyway. They act like they are so superior and yet they aren't doing a thing UGH I'm getting angry just thinking of it!

I have no idea why

For me I have interest in the history of the military. I'm into learning about battles, tanks, people, planes, and a bunch of stuff. I have great respect for both very brave and decent soldiers. My favorite General is James Gavin.

But I'm all for peaceful solutions and not for violent conflicts. I hate political wars, I wish it was more like WW2. I don't support the Vietnam and Iraq war. It would be best if those wars never started in the first place but there are alot of men who fought bravely and fairly that I have great respect for.

YOU SHOULD! I do too! I'm an "army wife" and I get so mad when people talk badly about any military branch. People do not realize the sacrifices that military families make. My husband is now deployed in Iraq. He has to be away from his daughter, the last time he saw her she was 2 months and the next time will hopefully be during R&R in August for 2 weeks but then he won't come home for good until shes 14 months. That kills him. Some peoples father, brother, son, husband-even wife, sister, mother, daughter have died to do their job. Their job is to protect America and the people that live here. I think that even if you don't like the miliarty system then you should atleast respect the people that are in it. They know hurt and have seen things that would make other people put a bullet in their head (and unfortunately, that happens in the military too.)

It could be a multiple amount of reasons. One mabye that you may not agree with what the leaders of the military decide, but you don't think people should talk badly about the inviduals who have to follow the orders made by those in charge.

I get mad to, i also get pissed when people say this war is stupid, if they really cared they would support them while they are there protecting you people that are not even supporting them, and since i am in the military i get pissed to know that i am risking my life for a lot of you who don't support me and fellow soldiers
