Not that I support these militants in any way. But the same question was asked by the British in 1776 about the militants of the time trying to fight the King and hiding instead of meeting face to face on the battle field.
The answer of course is that when you are completely overwhelmed by a superior fighting force gorilla tactics are your only option.
History is full of this type of warfare. |

I'm sure glad that those who fought for America's freedom against the British didn't think that way. Guerrilla tactics are always used by forces that are smaller and weaker.
Personally, I think its a bit worse that anybody trying to rise up against a country is usually killed by a missle or bomb before they even know they are a target. Is blowing up a sleeping person what a real man does? |

Look at any war in the middle east starting with the Arab-Israeli war.
Even when attacking one TINY country, from all sides, while superiorly outnumbering their enemy, the Arabs got their as*es WHOOPED.
They know they don't know how to fight, so why fight clean? Just like how they are shooting thousands of rockets into Israel and killing innocent children. |

Wait you mean our Snipers don't hide? Our Special Operations don't sneak around places? Don't we use airplanes to drop bombs on enemies? This isn't the middle ages where armies meet on a battle field and face off. If I recall that's why the British had a hard time fighting us because we didn't use formations. I support out military 100 percent, but you need to use a little intelligence when asking a question. Now it would be different if you asked why they hide behind civilians, or directly car bomb a crowded civilian marketplace. |

Because when you are the underdog, you have to be smarter. Staying out of the line of fire in a battle is not cowardice, its smart. If honour was the issue, why does Israeli/american forces need to hide inside tanks, in aircraft or camo?
The ones that hide behind the gun turrets and artillery are the cowards. I'd like to hear you disagree with that. |
