Why do people balm President Bush for every thing form hurricanes to asteroids?

tell me why...

Scapegoat. People are always looking for someone to blame. If we had a different president, and things still ended up with this ongoing war---people would blame that person. It is the nature of the beast.

P.S.- it sounds funny that you put "balm President Bush"

By hurricane, I assume you mean Katrina. And I don't think that he was blamed for the actual hurricane, but he does have some responsibility for the aftermath. I think a lot of people (myself included) were shocked that in the US, people could be left without shelter, food or water for so long after a disaster. I used to live in Florida, and Jeb Bush was MUCH better at taking care of things after a hurricane (and we had quite a few).

And yes, W can't do everything. But appointing an unqualified political to head FEMA came back and bit him in the **** on that one (which is a theme that has repeated itself throughout this administration).

And about the asteroid, that's new to me...

The Boss
Asteroids? Don't you mean hemorrhoids? For all those libs who are worried about what he will do next.

I couldn't agree more with the first poster. He said it all. No one blames the President for natural disasters.... they're NATURAL. But his slow and inadequate responses are unacceptable. He is supposed to be taking care of the country. Before you call me liberal or whatever, I'll have you know... #1, not all "liberals" smoke pot, blame everybody else for the world's problems, sit on their asses, etc. PLENTY of conservatives do so as well. #2, I don't even consider myself liberal. I consider myself moderate, and although I'm not yet old enough to vote (I will be 18 by the 2008 election) I supported George W. Bush during the '04 election. I now see that was a mistake.

I would blame him for your poor spelling but I think that's probably Clinton's fault.

Because no one wants to take the time to realize that he is not the government, just the scape goat for it. I'm not saying that he hasn't been at fault in many situations, but I think that we need to realize that President Bush had very little to do with, let's say, Hurricane Katrina. That was Michael Brown's problem! Although, since his constitutional appointment names him as the leader of our country, it seems natural to blame him for many people. I for one do not blame him for things that he really has no control over. Things that he does- that's another story.

Well, they don't but in the case of Katrina he had several day warning and chose not to do anything about it. His disaster relief he promised didn't come for months.

Then he chose to view the area from 35,000 feet in Air Force One!

Bush has not been blamed for anything he is not responsible for, and we don't know 1/2 of what he is responsible for.

Go talk to a Katrina Victim and they will tell you all about Bush and FEMA!

If Bush was not president, we whould not of had Katrina.Nor would we have asteroids or sick people or crime.

whatever_t1
because he and the people he puts as head for different departments of the government make very poor and stupid decisions that reflects how incompetent he is and his people...

from hurricane Katrina to anything else that deals with this nation's security....

because some people do not have enough since to pour water out of a boot with the instructions written on the heel!

Conspiracy theorists? I haven't seen anything about President Bush causing asteroids or being the root of all hurricanes. Don't we need scientific proof before such statements are made or did this information come to us via the tabloids?

No, I don't balm Bush for everything (although muscle cream helps his sore back), but asteroids was a pretty old computer game, it was time for it to disappear!

Mike G
They don't. They blame him for bad foreign and domestic policy.

nena_en_austin
people will blame anyone they can...
Just because they don't want to take responsability of their own bad actions...
That's why is too much wrong doing and most get away from their bad actions.

It's just those silly, liberal nut jobs!

Aviator - THE Resolution
I've never seen anyone blame him for either of those. I suppose if people did, they would be assuming he has supernatural powers. So to answer your question, they must be religious nuts or something.

Bush is not blamed for the actual hurricanes or asteroids at all. He is blamed for the federal government response to those natural events.

since he is the "decider", it is him that carries the ultimate responsibility for the federal governments responses to natural disasters.
