It is not the soldiers fault for being sent to war. No soldier wants to go to war, be we do it for you. Maybe if you had voted we would be able to come home to our families instead of watch our friends die to keep you safe. I do not agree with the president for sending troops to Iraq, but I go with the hope that something positive can come out of it.
I have seen so much blood shed that I have to have hope!
Those you snubbed at the airport do there job to protect you so you can have your freedom to say what you want.
If you don't want the war to continue, then vote for the candidates that will help bring us home.
I have never seen or heard of a soldier wanting to kill a child on purpose. Yes it happens, be we are not the ones putting a weapon in that childs hand and telling him to shoot at us. That was done by people who would kill you in a blink of an eye.
And I bet those brave soldiers did not care if you just walked by them, they are just happy to be home safe and in the arms of those they love. |

Maybe you should move to a country where you will not be bothered by the clapping for soldiers who fight for your freedom to write this. Sorry you do not have the capability to understand. |

you stupid biatch! my son is over there fighting. don't you dare call him stupid. If i knew where you lived, I would given you the beatdown of your life. |

Im not trying to be rude in any way, but you gotta have a little respect for them. They are dying for us and our children. |

Are you serious? Honestly...how can you refer to them as stupid? Risking their lives and some are dying every single day and why? For YOU. |

wow.
that's a strong and bold statement.
i mean its coming from your perspective/opinion whichever..so i can't argue with you.
but to answer your question..people clap, because those men/women in those uniforms are the ones that are fighting for freedom..fighting for thousands of people that they don't know, including you. |

they are alive
they get told what to do
they have children
and are someones child too |

They're not killing any innocent children. That's radical liberal garbage.
People are clapping for the soldiers to show their support for our troops. That doesn't mean they're supporting U.S. actions in general, but U.S. soldiers are American citizens --- friends, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, mothers and fathers --- who serve to fight for and protect us. People tend to love and respect their loved ones.
Grow up a little and educate yourself enough to actually know what you're talking about. |

What a brat you are! The day someone you loves goes to fight in a war and dies is going to be the happiest day of my life. My God, have some respect! |

Those "stupid" men and women are fathers, mothers, sons, daughters. They are friends and neighbors. And you, are wasting our time. Oh, and our oxygen. |

Hey I fly black hawks, what do you do with your life, and FYI none of us ask for all the clapping and support I could care less really. I guess some people just appreciate us putting our lives on the line for their freedom. Stay on you're little compute, talk sh** and keep doing whatever it is you do, I'm ten times the person you'll ever be. |

I think you should rethink this. These men in uniforms are saving just as many lives as are taken. Think of what our country would be like if we didn't have them. |

I don't think your question deserves an answer!!!! But, remember that soldiers have fought and died for your freedom of speech. |

A soldier has to follow orders, he or she is defending your country and these people at the airport applaud them for risking their lives for ignorant people like you. That one person was right, why don't you move to another country since you can't support our troops. Your a scum bag! |
|

I am hoping you are young, and I will ignore the obvious insult to you.
Those young men and women lay their lives on the line so we have the freedom that you take for granted. The people who clap are expressing their appreciation for their efforts.
Obviously you are privileged, never having known someone whom has sacrificed in a time of war to preserve and protect your right to write the above garbage.
Turn your back upon them, turn your back upon your freedom! |

So, it's normal to clap when a bunch of overpaid millionaires run around in their underwear on a basketball court, and not when we see our soldiers? I bet you get all excited when you see some famous jock.
Do you know that thousands and thousands of Vietnam Vets were more traumatized by the reception at home by people like you, than by war? The guys risked their lives, lost their friends, went through unbelievable hardship and were ridiculed when they came HOME! By people like you, of course.
At least now we changed, and a man or a woman in uniform is a hero, not Jane Fonda. |

they clap because they are happy that they came back...... and they don't go around killing children!!!! my guess is u do!!!!!!! and you should respect them more.... imagine if ur mom or dad or any family member was in the military and they were shipped off to iraq!!! how would you feel when they got off that plane?????? my guess is that you would clap becasue you would be PROUD!!!!! hense the song "Proud to be an American" chances are the military men are smarter than you!!!!!!!! i have to agree that the war is pointless but you don't need to be going around calling them dumb.... how would you fell if people you didn't know where calling you dumb and stupid!!!????? |

It's called respect!
No matter what they are fighting for, they are standing in that line so you don't have to!
I clapped for them at DFW when they got home... it was a good feeling to know they made it back safely. |

you by far have to be one of the most ignorant women i have ever came across . you should be thankful we protect your rite to say that sh it . and not in a country where your fu ck ing hands would be cut off and shoved in your c u n t for not clapping. |

You know what; I am proud of my service in the military; I have a College Degree and geve up a nice civilian job to serve in the military, because I wanted to do it.
I served in Iraq and I am happy to say that I never hurt anyone over there, in factr; I was lucky enough to see the birth of an Iraqi child and I am proud of that.
You are a disgusting human being and I hope you drop dead soon. |

___?

Well...Maybe in this situation you might not appreciate them...But look at others... Soldiers in general symbolize, justice...At times things in the U.S. were unjust. and the soldiers stepped in to help...You should give them some props... |

Americans were glad the soldiers killed all them bad guys for us. |

Woah! Hate to see the responses you'll get from this question. Its quite one thing to hate the war and the president's ignorance but its another thing to hate the soldiers. They are just doing their job. They HAVE to go- they have no choice whether they agree with the war or not. |

There is a difference between supporting the troops and supporting the war. Most Americans are in the Dark about the nature of what is really going on in Iraq and Afghanistan. These men and women you call stupid are noble having sacrificed their lives (not just in death but there home/civilian lives) so that we might have a better tomorrow. What I think is stupid is how our leaders will recklessly deploy them.
Do some research on those opposed to the Wars, those who support the Wars and the personal accounts of our troops. You will realize that it is entirely shameful to insult our troops. |

I say this without hyperbole whatsoever and to whit:
Kindly go f*** yourself.
That's for all the Vietnam veterans out there. You just reminded me why they are so special. |

The freedom you enjoy at this very moment, typing your opinion, was made possible by the very soldiers you are disrespecting with that ridiculous statement. No soldier wants to go to war. These noble men and women joined our armed forces to better themselves and protect our country. We hate this illegal war as much as you do. Hate our inept government and its lousy foreign policy decisions.I'm thankful for our troops and what they sacrifice so we can enjoy our freedom in this great country, and tolerate people like you. Thanks to our troops.p.s.-neither I nor any members of my family have ever served in the armed forces. |

Stupid men? Are you serious? People like you are ignorant. The only reason you are sitting at your computer right now typing is because these "stupid men" are willing to risk their lives for you. A waste of tax payers money? We waste tons more money on morons like you to make sure your rights are protected. Nothing better to do with their lives? They could be home watching their babies being born or watching a child take their first step or say their first word. Or maybe saying good bye for the last time to a loved one. No, they are out in the blistering heat all damn day, day after day, so your stupid *** can sit here and belittle them. You may not support the war, but how dare you sit there and talk like that to our soldiers!! Next time someone threatens our country and threatens to kill our children why don't you idiots stand up against them and let our troops come home!!
Oh...I just read your last question about feeling sorry for Paris Hilton...that explains alot. |

Google 'Fallujah babies' sometime and click on images. Get ready to vomit. Our depleted Uranium and Phosphorous bombs are creating generations of Iraqi mutant babies with 3 heads fused together. Deformity rates 900% normal. Why anyone cheers the wanton slaughter of an entire country for Big Oil is beyond me. |
