Liberals and Democrats do care about the lives of our troops--thats why we want them home, not dying in a failed war just so Bush doesn't have to face the fact that he screwed up and has already gotten 3000 Americansoldiers killed for nothing.

My uncle is a retired brigadier general and he hates Bush; was special forces in Vietnam.
I have four friends fighting in Iraq right now. They all hate Bush and wish this damn war was over.
By the way, I am a moderate. I actually approved of the war in Afghanistan. Iraq is a hoser. |

That is a blanket statement to say that only Republican children sign up for the Armed Services. If you look at the actually statistics it's probably a little more even. Not many people in high places of society have children in the Armed Forces. It is actually a little ignorant to say that Democrats kids go to college, get drunk and rape strippers not knowing what the affiliation of the Duke student's parents. My father who came from a household where both parents were democrats served 27 years in the military. So that alone debunks your theory of ONLY children from republican families join the Armed Forces. As a fairly strong Democrat I care about the war because I care about this country and I care about the people fighting the war. It was a pretty silly thing to poke fun at Kerry who actually went to war. You obviously support Bush and he never served in war. He got out of it. John Kennedy was a democrat and came from a family of democrats and he served in the Armed Forces. See over and over again I discredit your theory. |

Actually, it's the other way around. It's usually the poorer people who join the military to begin with. The wealthier kids go to college. That's a well known fact. Regardless of "whose kids" are over there, the Dems actually care about people and don't see any reason for ANY American to die in an unjust and needless war. |

That's crazy talk. George Bush, D. Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Karl Rove, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Reilly never fought.
People like General Zinni, General Shinseki, Max Cleland, Chuck Hagel, and John Kerry are real patriots who risked their lives for this country. They want to save the troops from fighting and dying for a losing war concocted by a bunch of chicken hawks like George Bush. |

I am a lifelong democrat, and a veteran. I care because I have fellow soldiers dying over there including 6 of my personal friends who have died. My friends who are still in do as they are told because they are soldiers but few of them think it is worth the trouble, so I understand you hate liberals and or dems but please, its a huge generalization to say we all do as you say. I don't say that all reps are gay and hit on pages because not all of them do, so please your opinion is yours but not all of us are unpatriotic. We serve as well as I did and I love america, I just hate bush. |

A lot of pro-war liberals serve in the military, they simply became liberal republicans, libertarians, or non-party over time instead of the regulation-addicted dem party.
