I like them.
My Dad hunts.

Liberty or Death
Four reasons:

1) Self-defense
2) National defense
3) Sport
4) Prevent the government from taking away our liberty

It is our right in this great nation of ours!! Use that right!!!

Fishguy
For hunting, target shooting, self defense, and as a last resort against tyranny.

Corvato
its our right, to protect ourselves, for hunting, for civil defense in case the government gets out of control or is destroyed.

฿└ΛÇκ ĦΘŁỀ ŞЏП
for protection
but if you let the police disarm you
like they did law abiding citizens in LA after katrina
you will have to depend on them for protection
but many times they are the ones you need protection from
then who knows whats next?
maybe fema camps

Because the liberals will outlaw the citizen from having firearm protection. This is a critical and material issue as more affirmative action laws are mandated. It is the last line of defense of the citizen against his government and its police. You must allow us to defend ourselves against you. Whether you want to or not. The police would move against an unarmed population as directed by those controlling their retirement check futures.

It's our right to own guns....we are stronger for it....if you don't want a gun, then don't buy one....I'm keeping mine, though,
so leave it alone!

wutupw/that
It's our right. Used for defense, hunting and recreational purposes.

Guns don't kill, people do. Have you ever heard of that one.

And if you take away guns, then you might want to take away knives to; don't worry, we'll cut our chicken and vegetables with spoons.
Now don't forget chainsaws and firecrackers, axes and saws, boxcutters, and cars that can run people over at high speeds.

Play nice now.

Watching S 1959
"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."
- Thomas Jefferson

Because we can? That's my take. Yes I own a gun and believe that we should have that right.

I don't know all the reasons, but weapons have
always been around. They always will be.There is nothing new under the sun.Just pray that they
don't fall into the wrong hands.Whoever has the biggest and most will rule.

'We' don't. Ownership is an individual decision. Some do, some don't and others have and others will have. For the most part firearms are sporting goods. Target shooting, both formal and informal and hunting are legitimate pursuits that go back thousands of years, only the technology changing over time. Shooting is an Olympic venue...you certainly can't get more legitimate than that. Some people have an issue with hunting and that's certainly understandable, but it's a legal enterprise that as with target shooting also goes back thousands of years. Another reason, possibly not as well defined is self-defense. The law in every state is slightly different, but the legitimacy of legal self-defense is clear. All persons have a right to defend their lives and the lives of others. While its arguable that there may be other ways to defend ones self from an attacker, the firearm is hardly ever the last choice. As a rule, simply exhibiting the firearm and announcing that you are armed and will shoot is usually enough to deter even the most aggressive individual. Forty-three states have a Right to Bear Arms clause in their state constitutions for the purpose of sport and self defense. Thirty five states have 'must issue' concealed weapons laws on the books. These laws are on the books for a reason. Hunting and shooting are legitimate and the law understands that self-defense is often the last resort of the weak against the strong. In the case of legitimate self defense the number of self-defense incidence far out number gun crimes of robbery and most murders are part of the drug trade. Owning a firearm really doesn't need a defense....and any attempt to disarm honest Americans can never be defensable. No kiddin'!

"For hunting." If you must.
"For self-defence." You might be shot first.
"For national defence." You have the world's most powerful military!
"For defence against tyranny." It's not working, but I can see your point.
