Why do you support the wars?

Supporting the troops and supporting the wars are two very different things.

azz, your wrong, you can support the troops without supporting their mission. They are ordered to do their mission.

What we should have done after 9/11 was vastly strenghten our national security, and we did. Going into Afganistan to fight a war against terrorists scattered all throught the middle east (not just Afganistan) that look the exact same as the civilians was a big mistake.

And in Iraq, fighting for Iraqi freedom should not be a big priority of ours right now considering our economy is falling into a terrible depression. The billions of dollars spent in Iraq surly hasn't helped that.

Iraq- we toppled a psychotic and sadistic regime and brought freedom to Iraq... I see nothing wrong with that

I have to disagree with you. Supporting the troops would mean supporting their mission and what they're doing. Supporting the troops would be supporting the war effort meaning supporting the war. You're basically saying "Oh I support you, just not what you're doing."

My friends who came back from Iraq told me how they absolutely hate how people say they support the troops but they don't support the war. It's hypocritical. You either support them or you don't.

From your question, I take it you are not a Veteran. The two go hand in hand. Our Men and Women do the things that need to be done to successfully complete the mission, they do those things that the normal person could not do.

I've seen this question before and I always scratch my head to try and figure out how someone can ask this.... The only thing I can figure is non-hands on experience.

No doubt that there are bad people out there. I know that from experience. I lived in a war torn country and witnessed a very horrible things I dare not to talk about in the country I live in today. Soldiers fight for a reason, they fight for a cause, and believe me it will not be tomorrow or the next week that you see the results of their work, but years and years to come.
