Why does british military history get put down?!?

Those that put the british down must have nothing better to do.
If it were not for the British, the USA etc europe could now be called "Grosse Deutchland" and we could all be going around singing Zeig Heil. Even though the Allies gave the Germans a real pasting during the last world war, they soon helped them get back on their feet, helped them build their country back up to become a modern country with a good standard of living,
Real historians will know the contribution that the british gave during all conflicts and I think that the british have always given a good account of themselves no matter where they have fought.
The Brits have been involved in some form of conflict since 1939, and that 1968 was the only year that the British Tommy stood around with nothing to do. History is history, records are records for all to see so no matter what the sceptics or media say, fact is fact.

Who ever does so haven't met a current U.K. armed service member and has a misguided few of history. Met several soldiers from the U.K. in Kosovo and Kuwait and they are top notch.

Actually, the role of the British Armed Forces is largely played down by disgruntled foreign "historians" who are not exactly famous for their impartiality to Britain. After all the said forces have kicked the arses of most people in Europe and most of the world in fact. Before some crazy Yank kicks off, just remember, you lot are ex colonials that we were glad to see the back of !

I honestly don't know, but to be honest I have never heard it being put down.

We have the best trained, most disciplined army in the world, no doubt about it. I think the people who put it down are

a) stupid
b) 13 yr old Americans on the internet (see a)
c) politicians (see a and maybe also b)

Brits are good. It's true. I can't understand why their empire collapsed though? Another thing I can't understand is why the UK carefully collected all terrorists possible from all over the world but refuse visas to Russian students and sometimes tourists. More importantly it would be very sad if muslims, when they make the majority in Parliament, banned production of whisky.

it started with new labour banning our history being taught in schools in case it offended their Precious immigrants. my grand son had no idea of any British history until we moved to wales. since then he has been coming home very exited and telling me all about it. the labour party has insulted Britain with their traitorous behaviour ever since they were voted in. and lets face it, they were voted in on a sea of lies and deception. and will no doubt sail out on that same foul sea.
