They still need bullet catchers in Iraq. Plain and simple. |

Uhh not everyone that signs up gets deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan. I know people that have been in for 15 years and not deployed anywhere. So in your case ignorance must be bliss. |

NONE of it is "deceptive"
What do you see those individuals doing in the pictures?
They're still advertising because we still haven't recovered from Klinton's downsizing. |

Why would they quit advertising? They have not said you would not be deployed. Therefore, no false advertising. They still need people. If you want, go ahead and join. If you don't, then don't. Not like we have a draft, so why be concerned? |

What 'money for college' scam?
The reserve still advertises cause they are still there.... |

There is a difference between the Army, the Army Reserves, and even the Army National Guard. Just becuase one joins any of them doesn't mean that they will get deployed. A motorpool unit will get deployed before an admin unit will.
Some people actually want to protect and preserve their country.... |

No, it isn't false advertising.
No, they haven't canceled advertising.
No, they shouldn't cancel it.
Yes, you should exercise your right to remain silent. |

Too Blessed To Be Stressed!

If you don't like the Army, don't pay any mind to it. I happen to appreciate that they are protecting me. I am very military involved- full time best friend' husband, national guard boyfriend, reservist friend, etc etc etc. They all go in to protect this country and peole like you who have the right to free speech. The college money thing is not a scam. My boyfriend and best friend's husband both get college paid for. It is not false advertising. We are in active war time, of course people are going to be deployed more often then none. Check your facts before you start attacking things you don't obviously know much about. |

How is having a commercial a "deceptive method"?
If a recruit goes into the Military, active or reserve, they should know what theyre getting into. If they dont think they can be deployed or w/e else, thats there fault; not the Armys. |

"Why does the Army Reserve still advertise?"
--Why do people keep asking dumbass questions like this one? You don't know what your talking about. Thats a fact by the way, I'm not just saying it.
-"Money for college scam"
--Again, if you don't think the GI Bill is worth every dollar you put in...which ain't much by the way...then please don't join the military.......we don't want you. |

The Army reserve is still advertising because the most people are going Active Duty or there going to different branches such as the Coast Guard, Army National Guard, Air force, and Navy. So the Army Reserve is losing people to the other military branches. |

Maybe cause they want people to join the Army Reserve duhh. |

your right that they do get deployed anyways but you are not in the reserve until you complete boot camp and you can be called into active duty when ever they have a need for you as many times as they want you. But being a reserve means that you DO NOT have a job in working for them meaning that you go there 1ce a month and that is all unless you are deployed! |
|

It isn't false advertising because after basic training, you are considered Reserve, then two days later you are active reserve and have to be deployed. Certain MOS's are NOT being deployed to Iraq. |
