No news like bad news - reporters credo. |

because there is nothing good to say about war. war is probably the most worst thing that can happen to people and people families.
no family wants to here this on the news.
" yesterday in Iraq was probably the most brutal day of them all, over 100 american soilders died. In other news today was probably the funnest day the soldiers will ever have in that scorching whether" |

They report it because that's what interests the public. If it didn't work, and we tuned out, then they would change. "If it bleeds, it leads" because that's what people like to see. |

The media does not like George Bush. There is a definite liberal bias by the media.
Of course there is good news from Iraq. A new democracy is started. A vicious dictator has been removed and is standing trial for his crimes.
The terrorist group Al Quida is being dismantled and they are being shown like the cowards that they are. |

ALL NEWS IS BAD STUFF... LOCAL, NATIONAL, INTERNATIONAL...
I don't have time to watch everyone that's planting flowers and doing what they should be doing... I need to know what bad things are going on, both in Iraq and everywhere... and that's all I have time for... I don't care about a local girl scout troop helping an old lady across the street...
If they reported all the good and bad stuff from all around the world... it would be like 5 hours long
and besides... every now and then they have a fluff peice that talks about it... watch the news once in a while and you will see it..
Curly: I have seen all those good things reported on CNN... all in very positive lights? where is the bias? |

Because they don't want anything that makes President Bush look good. It's completely one-sided and unfair. |

they are liberals and usually democrats and are trying to mane the President ans republications look bad in the eyes of the public, it is backfiring on them and we now know their TRUE agenda!! |

Because as long as they report just the bad stuff, it keeps people in a state of hopelessness and that eventually leads to them turning on their President.
They are doing a lot of good there, there are some blogs out there run by servicemen who are trying to get the good news into the press, but no one wants to print anything good. |

Media's left bend. They don't want to say anything that might sound pro-USA or pro-Bush. They need to keep beating them down to improve the chances of a democrat winning the next presidency. |

I don't know, why didn't they report on the schools that Saddam built? |

Tune into Fox News, they seem to be more balanced. The Communist News Network, CNN, is the worst. |

Because thousands of Iraqies getting clean watter, and health care dosnt make as good new as "2 news reporters dead" |

cuz good news doesnt sell. If the headline was "community service in poverty strucken neighborhoods" or "video of Zarquari getting his a@@ blown up by a 500lb bomb.....which one would you watch |

If you want to hear about the good news in Iraq, and the things we have helped the Iraqi people accomplish, turn off your TV and ask a Soldier. |

Maybe because men, women & children getting killed nigates schools, or training people. Should the headlines read.....we built 2 hospitals and trained 50 people today, oh yeah and by the way 5 men died? |

The media freaks out when it doesn't have control. Look at Bush going to Baghdad today and they didnt know. Pulled one over on them - ha! Keep the people under the spell of the press and newspapers will sell. I work with reporters on a daily basis and believe me when you see them from a personal standpoint you know what they go thru to come up with something to print. The one responder above is right - ask a soldier. |
