No we can't clone humans yet, not if we wish them to grow up to be able to fight. Dolly the sheep had some major health problems that shortened her life. We have gotten better with animals like cows but that is a long way off from primates or humans.
Then there is the common mistake that people not familiar with the science of cloning make. Clones are carbon copies of the original at birth. Once born their environment takes over and they may not turn out like the original. Furthermore clones have no more knowledge at birth than their original had at their birth. If you train a superior soldier to be a professional special forces soldier and then clone him, his clones will have to undergo the exact same expensive training to become as good as the original was. Also the raising of the child will be different, they might break a leg, then may even die early. When you copy something over and over errors can creep in. With computers they use a procedure called “a check sum” that makes sure each packet is properly identical. If not then the computer resends it. But, in the case of cloning these copy errors build up and can cause serious genetic anomalies in later clones.
Finally, there is the ethical and morale issue. Is it fair to create a person just so they can fight in a war, with no other reason for their life? These people are reasoning intelligent people with the same rights as the original. Just because they are clones doesn’t change that. You can also make religious arguments about the soul. Do the clones share a soul, do they even have a soul, or do all of them have unique souls? Arguments can be made on all three issues and until we know for sure, and can prove it without having to rely on issues of faith, then we don’t know the moral ramifications of creating a new creature that is only designed for war.
Cloning isn’t perfect nor advanced enough to risk human cloning, at least not yet. Many nations, including most of the advanced ones have already outlawed human cloning. Once a person is cloned then as our current laws exist they are a human being with all the rights and responsibilities of a human being. They are neither property nor goods to be bought, sold, and traded, much less condemned to a life that is only intended for war. |

Dolly was an animal first of all and second of all the funds for cloning are well over millions, and when Clinton was president he banned all fund towards cloning, so right now, we cant clone anything, maybe in the future they will fund it again, and we will be able to clone a live human. |
