We have to wait for the UN toput trade sanctions on Somalia, then whine and moan about how to end this peacefully, then send a letter to Somalia that has big words in it, and then sit and wait. And, so soem SEALS cut through the red tape, kill the pirates, and will probably stand trial at the UN for war crimes. |

They need the UN to word a strongly worded document . . . wait the Chinese and Russians have blocked it again. More hard hitting debate and maybe next year the UN can craft an even stronger worded statement. |

Well, our last president just let this BS go on as we had not had any Americans captured yet.
Here is a chance for a new president to really do something. I would take out their known facilities on shore first, so they have no place to go.
Then sink their boats offshore.
Will there be civilian casualties? Probably, but after we kick their arses once, they will be less likely to continue this BS like they have been doing. |

Because it is not a video game where you can hit restart when you get killed.
There are logistics and planning involved that is apparently invisible to civilians that are calling for military intervention. I have also noticed people like you calling for military intervention, are also the same people that would be crying foul if someone got killed in an unorganized military operation.
Just be patient and let the professionals do their job. Those navy ships aren't there just watching for fun. There are Marines ( with MEU) or there and possibly SEALS/
