He saw the opportunity so he grabbed it and called it his own! He has charisma and his voice is very educated and sophisticated but that's all he is! A voice. Actions speak louder than words. As the C&C of the US military, I will obey his orders but that doesn't mean he has my respect. Change! can also be a bad thing..

No-Bama just loves to talk about the past 8 years, and because of all the Bush Bashing he has done during his campaign, do you think that he is gonna give the Bush administration ANY credit for the great things our brave men and women over-seas have done during the bush administration? I think not! Taking credit for the withdrawal is just another way for him to try to make Bush look like a chump, and not the great man that he is. And let's not forget who was president when the modern day Hitler, "Sadam " was brought to justice for his crimes against humanity.

I dont get why people dumped on bush's life while he was in office. Everyone loved Obama cause he said he would pull out... well guess what OBAMA MIGHT HAVE LEARNED SOMETHING THE FIRST DAY HE STEPPED IN OFFICE AND RECIEVED THE WORLD SUMMARY. His ideas may have changed and probably started viewing the reasons why we need to have troops over there. As for his pullout... the reason why most voted for him (besides being black) where is it? its just as slow as before

Because he is the Commander in Chief at the moment and thus able to take credit for all that goes well as long as he is also will to accept responsibility for things that go wrong. Oh well , ho hum. Good luck to You

You are correct.

However Bush didn't agree with withdrawl troops until after Obama was elected. Up until then it was "stay the course". Personally I think Bush knew Obama was going to do it, so he did it first, so maybe he could get some credit for it.

As for how slow the pullout is, He always said that he would be as careful getting out as we were careless getting in. This HAS to be done slowly to protect the lives of our troops. Anyone with a military background understands this.

As for what else he has done...

Ordered the closure of GITMO saying that we no longer torture. Those being held at GITMO should be tried for their crimes and punished...

Reversed restrictions on stem cell research. (and NO they don't use aborted babies to do this, they use fertilized eggs being stored/destroyed for infertile couples, with the permission of said couples)

Those are off the top of my head. Both were campaign promises.

I don't think you get it.... Bush never planned on leaving Iraq. We were building huge military bases over there - YOU were paying for them.

THAT's why Obama takes credit for leaving Iraq - Bush was only forced to removed some troops - but he would have stayed forever if he could have.
