go at it alone....inability to compromise.....to small of an inner circle to get info from, all are yes men.....had no real contingency plan for when Iraq fell. I think they had one plan for when Iraq fell and never thought they needed another...everyone knows nothing is perfect and we know we may need to make adjustment along the way which he has either failed to do or does them to late to make a difference.... |

Bush was doomed to fail in Iraq the moment he put a "hand picked president" in place. He assumed that the people of Iraq would hail him a hero. They probably would have, had he not enforced a puppet govt. His army went on a raping and killing spree of innocent civilians to route out the desidents. This was an ethenic cleansing(genocide) of sunni muslims by the shittes assisted by the US army. The sunnis retaliated and defended themselves and the US army once again cracked down on the sunnis. The rest is history and the violence rages on. The only way forward is for all foreign armies to leave our country and let us solve our own problems. We have survived for thousands of years with out US help and can do so again. We dont want Bush's democracy and dont want his solders on our soil.GET OUT OF IRAQ NOW. |

Bush is failing in iraq because he started a war he could not win. you can wipe out an entire population these days, but what you cannot do, is to subdue an entire population. it used to work, in medieval times, because all you had to do was to show the local authorities the border...
after defeating their armies... the people as such had little interest in who was actually sitting on the throne, as long as things stayed more or less unchanged for them.
today however, people are a bit more picky about this. ever since world war two -in which germany occupied more or less all of its neighbours in seemingly peaceful 'annexion', without ever really winning the populace over, having to deal with all kinds of underground resistance, which would in the long run have brought the whole thing down, had the allies just given it some time- we know that you cannot oppress a people that does not want to be oppressed. and we also thought that vietnam had tought the americans the very same thing. but obviously Mr Bush didnt listen to his history teacher, or is it possible that he was really arrogant and selfrighteous enough to believe the iraqi would actually welcome his army?
you know... i think he just might have been...
there is however the very real possibility that has not failed at all, really.
that everything is going well to his plan... maybe 'Iya tola Bushski' is right and all he ever wanted to do was get the iraqi oil? maybe he will continue exactly the way he has so far, enticing the resistence to kill more GIs in order to prevent the iraqi 'Government' from ever establishing any kind of stability which would allow them to compliment him out?
just a thought, really...but what if?

Bush like Hitler is a product of his era.
US economy is desperate, and Bush is the most convenient mule to drive it.
Chaos in Iraq, Afghanistan, Middle East, and all over the world is what feeds US economy.
As long as there are unstable governments that can be manipulated by US interventions, a steady flow of debts and arms enter these countries, and out goes oil, revenues, and blood for vampire nature of US economy.
History has proven times and times over, that no matter how ferocious a ruler is, its own stench will destroy it. Like what happened to Hitler, and Saddam. |

Bush original plan is to have Iraq segmented into three parts. He is till succeeding in his plan. He wants autonomy for the Kurds so he can do business with them, as long as they stay loyal of course. Same for the Shiites who can be easily controlled in the South and same for the Sunnites who will be more or less powerless and outnumbered. This was the plan all along. The USA can be the fourth controlling party who divides and conquers. The only problem is that the violence reaches the armed forces as well. The unstoppable violence comes way too close and now it becomes an embarrassment for Bush because he will have to face the grieving families and loose the peoples support, just like in Vietnam. |

I would say the Iraqi democracy is failing, not President Bush. He gave them a shot at freedom, now it's time to cut them loose and let them kill each other. |
