Because they grew up spoiled little sissies, who will never have any pride or honor in themselves.
The strong ones volunteer, or at least support the volunteers. |

because the majority are sheltered and spoiled and bask in the rights that are provided to them but want nothing to do with fighting for them. they think that life is hard just because they arent allowed to drive daddy's sports car. just adds to my belief that everyone in America should serve at least 2 years in the service.. maybe then they would respect our flag a little bit more, and would take life for granted. |

They shouldn't be. There isn't one and the American people wouldn't tolerate another draft. Currently there is selective service which means about nothing. |

also then "rich-kids" with wealthy parents would be 'in harm's way'
...
how many politicians would even WEAKLY support a stupid war if they actually had their own children getting shot at?
maybe they prefer to live outside the control of present administration's war-policy?
maybe they prefer to live ? |

Because they are being indoctrinated in public school to believe that the military is evil. They are also afraid they might actually have to do some work. I have friends who own businesses and they can't find any teens willing to do a days work for a days pay. It is really pitiful. Alot, not all teens these days are so lazy and full of themselves. Most of them couldn't make it through boot camp anyway. |

When the Appropriation Comm. cuts the request from $4 bil to $2 bil for updated IED gear for our troops, I wouldn't blame anyone for dodging this ungracious mission. |

The youth sees the discontent among the people as well as you do. We don't want to have our lives put on the line for something that may be a bad idea altogether. The days of blindly believing in our leaders is coming to an end. They've abused Americans faith more and more everyday. And this isn't on one side of the Isle, EVERYONE in major Washington power is getting too comfortable, because the the general public doesn't know where they are and what they're doing any given day. They're just as human as us, and we know what humans are like behind closed doors, don't we? |

The youth of this nation have become weak. Their I-pods and Mtv/Bet are More important than there freedom. I personally think EVERY new graduate from high school should do at least two years in the military.Teach these punks and 'hoes some manners. |

Because they are ignorant!!! The US isn't ever going to issue out another Draft, unless the world breaks out into WW3.
Although, it would be smart in my Opinion to issue a Draft, because then it would weed out the lack of Man-power our military has today, and also stop from the same troops/and soldiers form serving ridiculous amount of tours over seas. In Vietnam, if you did more then 3 tours, you were done, unless you volunteer for extras! |
