Why is the Republic of Congo at War?

i really cannot find anthing on this topic.

The Republic of Congo is currently not at war with anyone. They had a Civil War in the late 1990s however. That war was between two different presedential candidates. The current problem in the Republic of Congo is Pygmie people being slaves to Bantu people.

The 'war' thay you are reffering to is the Civil War in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the much larger nation next to the Republic of the Congo.

The Civil War is still ungoing and has claimed over 5 million lives since 1996. Its between two factions, the Hutus and the Tutsis. The Tutsis are an ethnic group that recieved special priveleges in the colonial period. Due to those benifits, the Rwadan Genocide insued in the early 1990s. Many Tutsis were killed by Hutu militias, but eventually, the Tutis prevailed and overthrw the Hutus, who went right into the Democratic Republic of Congo where the fighting spilled over. Now that whole country is in complete chaos from a war that started in a nation 1/100 it's size.
