I dont know if ''popular'' is the right word but any way.

There are a number of reasons take Iraq for example though it costs nations money to fight a war what they get in return is more that countries resourses i.e oil more power the chance to establish a military base in the middle east.

For PMCs (private military companies) the revenue generated in war is emense the need for mercinaries to do the jobs the military cant be seen to do and provide security to places equipment and people is increasing constantly.

Weapons manafacturers experience a surge in orders as weapons need to be replaced or fixed the same could be said for arms dealers providing weapons to terrorists and rebels.

This doesnt just apply to Iraq take a look at Africa and Asia.

Basicly where ever there is war there is money to be made and power and territory to be gained perhaps thats wyh war is so ''popular''.

Because USA businesses are making money as in WW2 they supported and financed the NAZIS and the Allies

I have to laugh at the answers saying that War make people and Nations rich, those with that idea have no clue. War costs Nations money it does not make them money. for that matter no Nation makes money other than printing it, they take it from the people. even when a Country nationalizes a business it is still the business making the money not the Nation.

And that is a problem for Capitalists, the people`s opposition towards war, because "Time of crisis is time of wars and Revolutions" ( Lenin ).
We use wars to ferment unrest.Wars, famines, foreclosures, evictions, bank runs, layoffs, inflation, bankruptcies.. What else to wish ?
