and I besides MP I wanted to do combat. But why is Infantry that bad? Yeah I'll be on the front lines, but if I like an aderline rush ect..

infantry is not going to help you. like the other guy said they like prior service. I fixed plane in the navy and when I got out I wanted to be a chicago cop. they told me " your a white guy covered in tattoos w/no law enforcement classes. good luck"
I'm a fireman now because in the navy you take lots of firefighting classes, and at sea you are the fire dept.

I think you should go Infantry. Most departments don't care what you did in the Army they want to retrain you anyway.

Infantry isn't bad. Where did you get that impression? Don't listen to the media, listen to yourself. If you want to fight, does it matter what anyone else thinks of you? It is the infantryman that makes our freedom possible, not the whiny liberal sitting on a couch or holding a "save the trees" rally.
If you ain't infantry, you're just support. |

You say you want combat, but do you really? I have heard dozens of people say they want infantry and none have followed through besides myself and my brothers in arms.
Becoming an MP will give you more relative training for becoming a cop later on, but the law enforcement agency will retrain you anyway. They are more impressed by the fact that you served and, hopefully, served honorably.
However, I personally feel that if a man joins the army and doesn't sign up for infantry, he is a wannabe soldier. |

Go MP, while some police prefer to get a fresh person to train, as long as you're a professional, it's fine. Infantry is rough, MP is almost as hardcore but more professional and good training. |
