I joined at 17... I went into a store to by a pack of cigarettes, the lady at the register asked to see my ID, I showed her my military ID.. She asked for me to take it out of my wallet so she can see the back and look at the birth-date...

Unless you look over 40,they usually ID you.Especially seeing you probably don't look that old at all at 17.

just walk in there all confident calm and collected. Pretend you know what your doing they probly will not I.D. you but if you to lick your wounds and press on to a new store. also go by in by yourself not with a bunch of your boys.
