Will an incentive help to get my recruiter to work a little harder to get me in the Army?

Will an incentive help to get my recruiter to work a little harder to get me in the Army?

I have talked to many people who say that they have come across many lazy recruiters, who will not got the extra mile to search for all the options that there are available to get one in. Some have told me that they have gone to recruiters who have told them"Beacause of your criminal past,or not having a H.S. Diploma, etc...you will never get in"..and then they come across other recruiters who are very motivated and willing to explore all the options to help one, and they have gotten them in.Well my recruiter seems not too interested in working hard on my enlistment...so I was wondering if, i were to offer him a $500.00 AMEX gift card or something, for him to be motivated to help, if something like this would help my chances.

That amounts to bribery, is illegal as well as against UCMJ. Guess what.. it isn't all about you and what you want. If you want in so badly, YOU do the work necessary. Do you even qualify? do you have issues that would require a waiver that in the recruiter's opinion will not be granted?

Not everyone may serve, it is a privilege and not a right. The Recruiter doesn't work miracles, if you are unqualified, he can't suddenly wave a magic wand and poof you are in.

The recruiter will work harder for you if he sees you as a quality applicant.

From your previous posts - I do not see you as somebody that would do well in the military.

My world
If your recruiter accepted that, then you need to report him. That is unethical.

You don't say why your recruiter is saying "too bad, so sad". What reason is he telling you can't enlist?

NOOO!!! Do not try to bribe your recruiter. If you got a crappy recruiter find out where the main office is and talk to someone there, or wait until he moves back to his regular duty, recruiters only have that job for 3 years, so he will be replaced eventually. It's not worth it to bribe him, he would most likely start telling some really big lies to try to please you then. Either go to someone else or go over his head.

Okay dude you're stupid if you want to do that.

You either have a TERRIBLE recruiter (The Army is dying for soldiers right now) Or you've got something on your record that he can't waive. i.e. criminal history, something like that.

Just call the US Army recruiting 1800 number and tell them you need the contact info for another recruiter, or just look it up on the internet.

If you have something on your record that he can't waive, you may want to talk with another branch like the Marines or something.

It's getting really, really hard to get into the Air Force and Navy if you have a bad past. They're getting really stringent

Yea, I would say to try a differant town, report him to his superiors, try the reserve component of your service. What I mean is, if you want to go active duty liek say to the army, maybe the reserve army will take you, once you get back from basic, you report to your reserve unit and six months later (if your unit is not activated for iraq before then) you are allowed to go back to a recruiter and tell them you want to go active duty now. Besides the reserves will pay for your schooling while in the reserves and if your unit is activated before six months is up, you are active duty for two years anyways and if you don't like it, you can stay reserves, plus, before you are scheduled to go to your basic training you can go to your unit and do drills and get paid for it. Do I sound liek a recruiter, LOL I couldn't pass the ASVAD to go active duty, this was my only option to go active duty.

Guessses, A.R.T.
No but talking to a different Recruiter might. You have to find one that is willing to work "with you".

You are a drunk. You are a thief. You are a liar. Now you want to add a bribe to your long list of offenses. Really Antonio, just how stupid are you? You are not getting into any branch of the military.

well Antonio...based on the previous questions you have asked..there is NO WAY you will make it in the military..your extensive criminal activity and lack of respect for authority; not to mention the law of the land...you wont make it through basic/boot camp...once again Karma.....

Um, go to a different recruiter?

In effect, you would be offering a bribe to a representative of the federal government...and that is illegal.

Recruiters are "motivated" by their Station Commanders. Tell your recruiter that you would like to speak with another recruiter. If you get the same result ask to speak to the SC.

Recruiters are normally willing to do anything to get people in because they have quotas. I have a friend that is a recruiter and that is what he has always told me.

I am wondering what it is that you have in your past that is holding you up. There are just certain things that will stop you from getting in. Some recruiters will "alter" paperwork to get peole in; some aren't willing to do that. Don't try to bribe them. If it all blows up then you will be charged with trying to bribe a government official. Not cool.

Just go to another city, or find the 1-800 number. They will get you in. Save your money.
