Will i be allowed to wear my dress blues for High School Graduation?

It will be up to your school. Talk to the principal. There was just a big hub bub about this on the news recently. A school would not allow it because the Marine would not be uniform with the other students. It was not against the Marines, but the fact that his school policy is that all the students must wear the same thing. Kind of like being in the Corps.

If they will not let you, wear them under and as soon as the ceremony is over take the gown off and there you go!

Up to you and the school to decide. Not us idiots.

Many schools do not allow it because it's a distraction, and they want all the students to appear identical on that day.

Other schools are so damned left-wing liberal that they do it because of their warped agenda.

Ask your school. They have the guidelines. Most want everyone to look the same, but they may allow you to wear them.

It depends on your School and your Unit Commander. If I were you I would ask the Commander if it is allowed and if not how you would go about getting permission. God Luck

The cap and gown are the uniform of academia. You disrespect yourself, academia, and your classmates by dishonoring that uniform. Like others have said before: people do not wear caps and gowns on your base; you do not wear military uniforms to graduation. If you are a reservist and have a job that requires a uniform, you're not allowed to only wear your military uniform. You are a citizen that participates in multiple organizations in America. You should respect each one that you are a part of and honor the uniform of each. It is good that you serve this country and are proud of that service, but you mustn't let that pride cause you to be disrespectful of other institutions.

it depends on the school rules, you must ask them. You would probly be allowed to wear it underneath the graduation outfit.

You have to do some research on this. There have been some schools that have allowed the wearing of a uniform in the past but in today's world, it is a different color of paint. You must have a conversation your school's administration team to find out their policy on this matter.
