Will my fiance be stationed in Savannah?

My fiance is in airborne school right now and after that he goes to r.i.p. He heard that there are 3 stationed for rangers, Ft. Benning which is where he is now, or in Savannah or Washington State. We are both hoping that he goes to Savannah or atleast stays in GA because I live in PA and it is closer, also because we both would like to live in Savannah. What is the likelyhood that he will be stationed there. He has heard various stories from other rangers about being able to apply for different locations, getting stationed based on skill, or random placement. Does anyone know which is true?

50/50 he will either get the orders he wants, or he won't. |

Slim chance. There are ranger slots in every division. And if there are not ranger slots, he will be put into any infantry slot. So there are a dozen different posts he could be assigned to. |
