Ok my girlfriend recently told me that her dad is not allowed on a boat anymore because of heart/chest problems...so they'll either place him on shore duty or medically retire him...What choice will they most likely choose...and put a explanation why you chose that

they will convene a medical board. If they decide he's faking he will be kicked out, not retired and he will lose everything.
as for the choice between sending him to shore to finish out his enlistment or medically retiring him.. that really depends on what the medical board comes up with. if he can still do his job, they will keep him in. |

Medical situations are evaluated on a case by case basis including considering how much time in service is needed to get to a regular retirement. It's impossible to speculate with so little information. |

If its a medical problem, he might not have a choice but, a medical retirement.
If the condition is mild and he is like months away from a 20 year career, he might get shore duty and a regular retirement.
if he is being dishonest, he should just be kicked out of the Navy and no retirement! |

He should get a medical discharge then, and no retirement because he doesn't deserve the retirement pay. He can only retire after a certain amount of years anyway. What a disgrace to serve your country and fake an illness to get out. My husband is in a war zone busting his butt to give that guy his civilian freedom!
Im sure if there is nothing wrong, they will find out and he will have to stay in anyway. If they don't find anything wrong with him, they are keeping him til his contracts up. Trust me, they know when something is wrong. They deal with people who fake all the time. |
