You have a point. I think if push came to shove, then something would have to happen. These religious fanatic's are capably of anything, even going nuclear.

No. Pakistani politics and the population is dominated by the Punjabis. The Pashtun Taliban may carve out an autonomous no-go zone in the western mountains of the country but they won't be able to overthrow the government and seize control.

I can think of few nightmare scenarios worse than invading Pakistan. That is to be avoided at all costs.

Why is the U.S. compelled to make the world "safe" by attacking, terrorizing and killing all over the world? The answer is that it has nothing to do with making the world safe. It has everything to do with imperialism, securing natural resources for American capitalists and fending off capitalist competitors.
