Will we see technology being applied to our future infantry soldiers soon?

I'm talking about exo-skeletons and light armored suits.

Too expensive for research and development?

You hit the point. It is to expensive for development.

Sure they can do the research but the thing is getting it actually out there and mass produced for the troops.

The most they can distribute it to priority one troops, like the ones that need it the most. Then they'll gradually give it to everyone else at most.

The issue is actually contracting companies and the fact if we'll be able to afford to give them to every troops will come in due time.

sounds like a good idea, but it sounds very very very expensive to do so
and im sure with obama in hes not going to want to spend money any more than he has to on our military

there are such technological advantages in existence, they are just too expensive and don't work well enough for practical usage yet

yea right now it's too expensive without enough positive feedback. the US Army land warrior program, was shutdown back in 07 or 08 I believe, however one unit did deploy with it since they had been training with it for their upcoming deployment. So....for now expect that what we have is what we will continue to use, I only expect updates in body armor and weaponry.

its too expensive and bulky right now ,maybe for small elite groups in around 50 years or so.
