Will you be able to complete a degree while enlisted?

Once again, Ignore Mrs.JVB, out of all the questions I have seen her respond to 90% of them are wrong, but atleast shes only lying 10% of the times...

You can get an associates quickly because alot of your time in training and time in service is college credited, it just depends on what schools you go to, but almost everybody takes a smart transcript atleast for elective classes

While you are active duty your GI bill will only cover up to a certain ammount of college credit hours per semester, its definitely not enough to go to school full time and be enlisted... however I have many many friends who completed their associates degree in 2 years on track with the full time students, you ask how? becaus enlisted personell in the military can recieve a SMART transcript for their time in service and training- which in most cases can count up to 26 college credits in electives, so now its just general education courses.

If your unit is laid back and gives you plenty of oppurtunities to complete school than your golden. Deployed Militants are now even afforded time for their online education... It seems as if the military is really taking an interest in the knowledge of its staff..

Tuition Assistance will pay for 100% of the maximum ammount of hours authorized per semester. After that you pay.

That includes books and fees for the classes you take for those authorized hours..

im working on my second degree right now. i already have one in applied electronics.

oh i forgot to mention that all of your military training is transferrable as civillian credit. now does this mean that every single college will give you max credit? no. you have to shop around and find the one that does then transfer those credits. its a pretty easy process when you work wit hthe ed specialists on post

Yes, it's pretty much free with some combination of TA and other benefits, but it takes a long time. It would probably take at least 8 years to complete a four year degree, just because you can't take a full load of classes every semester.

can you? yes. is it easy? NO.

TA is capped at $4500 per year so no that probably will NOT cover everything.

Take son average about twice as long to get a degree while on AD. a 2 year degree is easily doable in your first enlistment. a 4 year degree.. not unless you already had significant credits that transfer going in.
