Working as a civilian for the military what benefits will I receive?

I plan on teaching Biology. Would I get my tuition paid, what about health care? Retirement? Elaborate and enlighten me please. (:
Do they have any jobs for directors of college admissions for the military? What about community college professors?

You can work for the federal government and most civilians hired by the government get basically the same benefits. Go to http://www.usajobs.gov and surf around you can find all the federal benefits on that web page.
Some times civilian employees get other benefits depending on where they are located. If you are overseas you may be allowed to shop at the commissary, but not if you are stateside. Sometimes the military offers civilian employees child care and enrollment in schools. When I was overseas we had medical treatment for civilians, but they had to pay a co-pay (it was expensive) and what ever insurance they had was billed.
If you want to teach there are a few jobs. DoD schools but that is grades K-12. I am sure that the service academies have civilian college professors. You could also work for a college that teaches on military bases. You have to go through the college to apply. Schools such as University of Maryland and University of Texas are common. I went to school through Saint Leo University on base. But all of those schools are contracted. You apply to work with the college then they send you where ever. There are cool assignments if you look into them.
If you get a contract job, then it will depend on your contract as to what benefits you get. That will vary depending on the university and the military base you get assigned. |

Who are you going to be teaching Biology to while working for the military? The only time I can see that being needed is at a military academy and that's different than working for the military. |
