someone whose joining the military, like me, with a dep (delayed entry program) id, would that allow you to purchase firearms.

No it doesn't give you any special privileges you have to still have to go by your state laws. |

Nope, you need to do it the civilian route. |

No. You would need proof of residence in the state that you live in. Drivers license, State issued ID card. Check with your state's Bureau of Investigations or Public Safety office. |

Negative. All that does is hopefully keep you from getting a ticket if you get pulled over. (I wouldn't recommend trying that but it works sometimes) |

Absolutely not. A DEP id if you're lucky will get you a discount to see a movie and maybe a pack of gum at the BX. It's not an official ID. |
