Would it be rude to type my letters to my husband who's in army bct?

It's not rude... but it's not what he'll be looking for while he's in basic training. He wants paper and pen that is personal, that smells like home, that reflects who you are as a person, not just facts and information.

Tip: He doesn't have a lot of time to read every day. So, best not to write too much and overload him. Just dedicate maybe 15-20 minutes every day to writing a 1-2 page letter to him. Just jot down whatever that's important going on in life.. don't bog him down in all the details.. and don't burden him with any of your problems. He needs to know that you're doing okay... that you miss him... but that you believe in him and are confident he'll get through BCT successfully. Pictures are good... funny stories are great... and now is the time to really be his cheerleader. It's his job to do his best... in the toughest thing he's probably ever done. It's your job to be his support system.

Whether or not it is rude depends--is your handwriting legible? If it is reasonably legible, handwrite it. If your penmanship cannot be read by the average person, then typing may be better.

If you want to type them, then type them. Just sign your name and a cute personal sentence at the end so he knows you care.

Handwritten letters are more personal seeming, but if he won't care, why should you? He will understand if you explain.

And he will probably be glad just to hear from you at all. Just make sure you let him know you care. Most of the time why they like the hand written letter is because your handwriting reminds them of you in a sentimental way, it IS you. So type then write a note at the bottom.

HI my fiance is in basic for the army as well and sweety if you have an infant that you need to take care of that I think by all meens type your letters to him I am really sure that he would understand and he should not mind at all considering you are at home taking care of your all child.

Its not really rude but its not very personal.. Its sort of like just sending an email.

If its a personal letter, to like say, family, I'd write it.

when i go to basic, my fiancee will be typing mine, we decided that it will be best cuz he'll write more and i'll actually be able to read them

I think the best thing you can do is hand write a letter.. Personally, I've ignored every letter I've ever gotten that was typed, and I (figuratively speaking) threw a parade for every letter I've gotten that was handwritten. Handwritten reminds of what there is, whereas typed is just some ink on some paper, at least in my opinion
