Would two military officers be allowed to marry each other?

One in the USN, the other in the USMC, or does it matter if they are in the same branch or not?

They are allowed to marry. They can't serve in the same chain of command. Being USN, USMC, they may even be stationed on the same base for some of their careers.

Yes they can marry; service branches have no bearing on the issue.

Yes. Doesn't matter what branch. The only issue is that they are a similar rank and not in each others direct chain of command.

Actually being in differnent branches helps the matter.
There are rules against officers being with enlisted people and against being with someone in your direct chain of command, and then there is the government's "don't ask don't tell" policy. Outside of those there is nothing to prevent two straight military officers from having a relationship.
