It would depend on what your goals are and the criteria you are using.
The marines are a highly specialized trained subunit of the military. They are often the first to be put into a military situation to make initial assessments and to prepare for further military interventions.
The air force has a totally different locus of involvement in military matters.
You would have to decide which is better for each specific mission and military exercise. |

It depends on your personality. Take the time to talk with people in the Air Force and the Marines or the local recruiter from the two. Each of them have a different mindset on what is considered successful for a soldier. Do understand that from a perspective of combat, Marines will be first. Air Force is normally providing air cover to the ground forces. Most Air Force personnel will be behind the lines unless you are the one flying cover for the ground forces or completing a bombing mission. |

Each of the armed services has their own unique purpose and is as important as the others. I don't think better really comes into the mix. It's really a matter of teamwork, each working together with the others to reach a common goal. |

it all depends on what u like. I would perfer the marines because my cousin was in it and he said it was a great expiriance and it tought him alot of diciplin. |

Anyone to defend our contry is a hero no matter what branch of the military there in, plain and simple, but the Marines are the first one to invade, if your looking to join up, make sure the skill they teach you can translate to a job on the outside. |

Yeah in terms of soldiers the marines are the most elite, they go into the battles first and basically have the highest mortality rate because of that. Airforce has a lot less of a deat rate simply because they are in the air. |

Air Force is in a class of their own. If you want to compare services you need to compare Army vs Marines. Marines are more hard core, but the Army is going to teach you more things you can use in the civilian world. |
