I and I think many more will be very happy if peace would be restored in Iraq with a democratic government and all the American soldiers would be able to return home safely to they're loved ones and are thanked properly for they're contribution for making it a better place.

I would be thrilled! It would be a sign that freedom can exist in the middle east. And that would be a very good thing. Why? Because then we would be able to deal with people over thier that won't want us to "convert" or "die". You know the people that can be civil.

Yes I would. As for those that say we are fighting a group of citizens that want us out, we are fighting a well established and well funded terrorist organization, backed by the Iranian military and Government. As a fact if anyone would take the time to really research and get to know the actual people of Iraq. Most of them love the American troops. Unfortunately most of you just listen to CBS and the BBC. They don't tell you what is really going on.

I would be happy if I knew what it would look like over there if we "won". How will we know when we win and what will be different. That is the real question no one has an answer for. We are not fighting an enemy. We are fighting a group of citizens that want us out of the country, so how are we going to win?

The end of a war is not defined by who won. It is defined by who's left. NO ONE wins in war. There are only two rules in war. Rule 1: People die. Rule 2: There is no changing Rule 1. I think more appropriately your question should have been "Would you be happy if the war in Iraq were over?" YES!

won? war? uhhhhh. look at afghanistan, then iraq, next iran, then syria. does it matter... ? we'll be over there til Pres. George Bush Sr. and Jr. and his brother Jebb or Jeff whatever his name is own ties with the entire middle-east. Or until some scientist finds out how to function in today's oil dependent World without oil. At that time the middle-east won't matter anymore and we'll all be dead

Define 'win'. Really, what does winning mean? It certainly isn't Bush's initial idea of a democratic Iraq. That isn't possible. It isn't killing all the nuts trying to kill us; they look at killing Americans as an afterthought - they are too busy killing each other. Do you mean killing everyone there? Yeah, we could do that but what's the point?

I agree with niceperson. WHat is it that we will win? Will we win victory over the death of babies and innocent civilians? Will we win te victory of soldiers raping and murdering Iraqi women?

Jarod what makes you think there is no freedom in the MiddleEast? My husband is from the MiddleEast and is Muslim and he treats me like a princess in fact, women have more control over the men in this culture believe or not. These men want to make their wife happy. I am his only wife. He is only allowed to have another wife if I his first wife permits it. He knows I will kick his *** if he even looks at another woman. In his beliefs it is not right for him to hug another female because of his loyalty to me his wife. These men really do treat the women with freedom. Just like in any culture, you have a few goofy ones who treat women like slaves such as Afghanistan. I have visited the Middleeast in Egypt with my husband and it was so much fun and I had the freedom to dress how I wanted and to act how I wanted. It is not like how the media shows it.

Women wearing covers is not a symbol of slavery, but a symbol of respect for God so other men married or single will not lust after them and that results in more loyalty because of less temptation. Remember men are very visual. There is far less cheating in the MiddleEast and more successful marriages. Yes people marry who they want but try to impress their family at the same time. By the why, I am a Christian so I do not cover up, but I still dress in a respectable way.

I guess you missed President Bush's announcement a few years ago about the war being over. We're just cleaning up the mess now.
